I think that this woman could be correct when she says that we must insulate our homes more efficiently. Lifty Crypto ........when i was a teenager in the 80,s we had no central heating......1 gas fire in livingroom and 1 lecky heater shared between 4 bedrooms to take chill off air....each bed had a rubber hot watter bottle..........my pet guinea pig died as it froze to death one winter in my bedroom.....the windows used to ice up on inside..........i went to bed fully dressed ha ha.

Not true for everyone. For the poorest 50% incomes have not moved for about 30-40 years. This is likely due to right wing economic theory, advocated by the rich and powerful, like people like Brewer; people who get support from people like you... it's a mess.

Why do these people never listen to a sensible argument that doesn't agree with theirs

Sadly, this is a consequence of our modern day comforts. Some people have gotten far too comfortable and now expect perfection.

Wow, to think I used to be like her. No ambition, no direction, no job and angry at the world and everyone in it. Then I woke up, stopped hanging around angry, jobless people, got a job, bought a house, eventually and twenty years later I’m driving around in £50,000 Mercedes and a homeowner, who is not angry at the world.
