I worked many years ago in a very well known restaurant in London. He turned up one lunch time without a booked table, and when I said we were fully booked and don’t have a table, was told by him “Do you even know who I am? How can you not have a table for me” And when I replied all the tables are booked, I just don’t have any! Was told by him, “you are terrible at your job, and if I was your boss we would be having a conversation about how you treat your customers!” Never forgotten that conversation.. being young I didn’t know what to do or say. But it resolved in my mind that I didn’t like him..
