If we look at the championship winning season. We signed players around 5 to 15 mill. We finished 7th twice and reached the europa qf. This was dependent upon a good structure and leadership. We don't need huge money spent just wisely spent. Look at Newcastle and Brighton. Let's not make excuses to leave before we start.

If Julen has given the board a reasonable list of players that he wants to strengthen the team and they do not deliver then he will be gone.

Very concerning listening for us fans, especially as tickets and replica shirts have increased in price. It was so exciting when JL was announced and walked around the pitch, now we're fearing relegation.

Guillem is a known fan boy of Julen's. He loves his work ethic, competitiveness and football philosophy. So it's clear he's just trying to get Julen to get out of this situation to go to a bigger club. Sad really, why can't any of these elite managers sort out a club who's struggling and come out on top, they just want mega money and all the best players and then proclaim they are the best

Very odd. When Julen started at wolves Romano did the clubs official welcome interview walking around the molineux pitch. Here Romano and Julen are clearly not doing the clubs official work and cannot see the club sanctioning the contents of this interview, as it will only put more downward pressure on the sale price of players. Suspect there may be a negative move from the club in relation to this, unless they were behind this and it drives the buying price of new players down. Either way odd.

If Julen is such a good manager then surely he must be able to get a lot more out of the existing players he has got than he did last season.

He won't walk, he has to be sacked for the compensation package. This is why he is so open in this interview, similar to his situation with Spain and Real Madrid.

Two ways to look at this depending on your own personal opinion, either were completely screwed or that were not getting the calibre of players as first thought so going for players that don't have as big of a name for themselves. You could take either from this interview

Feels like I've watched a parent do an interview to explain to their kids why they're getting divorced. However they wont be getting divorced, they'll still be living in the same house and it will be awkward. That is until Dad finds someone with better t*ts and stops feeling sorry for himself

I would be shocked if Lopetegue is here opening day v Man U. The guy maybe an ok manager but his conduct re these interviews; airing Wolves laundry to the public is quite frankly unprofessional. It actually borders on narcissism. If he had kept his mouth shut and not thrown his toy's out the pram no one would be any wiser about Wolves and FFP problems. It would off just seemed that Wolves were clearing out players, most of who we knew would be going anyway, and rebuilding under a new manager. End of. Now Lopetegue has well and truly hampered Wolves in transfers. The Scott deal is probably off because Lopetgue's going and we don't want to spend on a player the next manager might not want. Wolves will always be here, Lopetegue won't....

It’s highly unlikely that Wolves can remain in the PL after the 2023/2024 season despite us having a brilliant manager - a brilliant manager who has won European titles without the tools is a manager who cannot achieve the impossible.

I'm not sure what to make of this! Is this interview helping the team, J-Lo? The communication at Wolves is appalling: you have a manager, I assume, who is giving unauthorized interviews, express & star saying that we didn't have the money to bid for Alex Scott and now the club has cashflow issues on top of FFP. Something isn't right here but i'm not sure whether it's incompetence or part of some strategic play. Either way, it aint good for us fans!

This is a very one sided interview. You did your up most best to pull answers out of julen. You're also wrong in so many ways. We and julen were all made aware before the season even ended that it was going to be a clear out window and then get players after the fact. This interview does nothing but attempt to hurt the club and the fans and you should be ashamed of yourself for this.

Strange set up…this was obviously staged by JLo as an open letter to other premiere league teams to come and get him. Fosun are really f@cking things up for us here. Reality is we have only lost 1 first team player in all of these sales. But we still need at least 2 new signings for squad depth now. Just a shame that we hire the best manager and sporting director we’ve ever had and piss them off in this way so they both leave.
