Juifen - BEST Day Trip From Taipei
In this video I'll show you the beautiful village of Juifen and the famous Juifen Old Street (九份老街).
Legend says that it was the inspiration for the movie Spirited Away, with its tiny streets, red lanterns, beautiful temples and breathtaking views.
But it's also the most popular day trip that you can do from Taipei. A fairly easy bus journey that can be done in less than 2 hours.
Is it worth it?
Should you just skip it and avoid the crowds?

Haha exactly! I bite into that ice cream wrap expecting it to be a nice warm kebab with koobideh in or something like that and it gave me such a shock!
Did you experience a brain freeze there?🥶 Nice video again Chris. Completely different people, landscape, buildings, culture and food. How wonderful it is to travel and discover new things. I love it. Juifen may be a bit touristy. I am very curious about the inland of Taiwan. I hope you will show that to us too?

Exactly! That ice cream was quite a shock 😂 I didn't get to travel all over Taiwan but I will make videos of Taipei and it's amazing night markets
We've still not made it to this location becaue of the touristy reputation it holds. Does seem like the perfect IG spot though!

Yeah it really is super touristy but as I say it's for a good reason. It's super pretty and so easy to do on a short trip from Taipei. For me it was worth it, though my favourite thing about Taiwan was Taipei's night markets.
Love to visit China at some point; looks fascinating. Not sure if I can be too experimental with the food there though!

Actually, this video was filmed in Taiwan. Jiufen is a quick daytrip from Taiwan's capital Taipei.

Forget China for now. Stick to Taiwan as it could be more authentic and all. China can be unpredictable in many negative ways... i love the Chinese people though don't get me wrong
