No one can even come close to Judy's voice, her delivery and expression is often imitated, but never to be duplicated! ❤

My 92-year-old mother passed a year ago. We played this song at her service as she was a Judy Garland fan & this was one of her favorite songs.

What I love about this is it's all filmed in one take, one camera, no cuts, just sheer brilliance from first note to last. Brava Judy!

You can feel the pain she’s experienced as she sings this. I have never seen another singer who can make You feel as much as Judy Garland could her she sings

That was her greatest gift!

The lyrics she sings are uplifting her face says so much more. Like she's tried so hard to believe the words, and maybe this time when she sings it she'll feel that they're true.

I cannot think of another performer who could sing with such feeling in this song. She is sharing her life story.

There is a very touching recording of this wonderful song by, of all people, Lyle Lovett the C&W singer.

Her eyes were so luminous and expressive...adding to the passion and vulnerability of her performances. She was just heartbreaking.

I can't smile when you make me cry, Judy. I'm in awe of you.

I needed that. The greatest performer of the 20th Century telling us to smile.

Her life wasn’t all sorrow. She had good times too, and although she died relatively young she achieved a lot.

I have never heard anybody sing smile the way Judy Garland does. A beautiful song sung by a beautiful woman with a beautiful heart ❤️💔❤️

The pain in the voice, a beautiful song written by Charlie Chaplin, Dear Judy, a wonderful talent.

One of the most expressive singers that ever lived!

Many, many years ago at a stopover in St. Louis airport, I was walking and Judy was right ahead of me, she was in a beautiful fur coat, really tiny woman and I was in awe; loved her so much; just a painful life though

This is one of those messages where the point isn't whether it's always factually true or not... What's important is repeatedly telling yourself. Until you believe it. Until you get through it. And being there to assure others to hang on and do the same. It's grit and heart, and holding onto the ideals you wished you could see in the world. So many people these days dismiss these kind of lyrics as sugary nonsense.
