heartbreaking. absolutely heartbreaking. First sung as a child full of dreams here sung as "man" recollecting the dreams lost. Sublime.
The pain and emotion in her voice is so vivid. Brings a tear to my eye every time. rIP

I heard there was a very severe incident back stage before this performance. And yes, one of the most moving performances of any song I’ve ever seen. I wish this didn’t exist for her sake but she did show amazing grace through some terrible times. U can see her longing for the lyrics.....
She comes thru with so much emotion when she sings this song, I can't help crying Such a super Talent! RIP dear Judy
The wizard of Oz was one of my favorite movies when I was little I never paid attention to what the song said and the way she just sang it like a baby that wanted to cry and needed a hug killed my heart. It's as if she's singing about Paradise
This is one of my many favourite performances by Judy. She gives so much emotion in her performances that it cannot fail to reach out to you!

OMG! This is absolutely a riveting performance, torn from her heart and soul and exposed for all of us to see. Judy was obviously a bit depressed at the time (she has never appeared more emotional when singing this song than in this clip), and it comes through in a way that no other performer could make happen. She is the greatest entertainer of all time, and could do it all.

My dear friend told me about this performance. And she passed away not long after to join her husband who she loved like no other. She got to go over the rainbow to be with him. ❤

Have this particular rendition and believe it was from the Judy Garland Show. Unfortunately the version posted here, cuts off a little early. The copy I have shows her getting up from the stage and slowly walking off. What a talent!!
