I miss men like him🙏🏾 Now we have boys raised by women, who actively avoid the rites-of-passage into actual manhood. I grew up under a man similar to this one. I was taught to embrace my responsibilities, face my battles, and to gravitate towards strength😎 Most of all, I was taught ORDER... from God to child.

You are so right and I am not taking up for nobody, but boys are not being raised by nobody. That is why 'they' are doing what they are doing. And it is the job/responsibility for the Man to raise boys to become Men but most of them drop their sperm with several females and keep it ah moving. And some of the females allow it.

Women don’t “ actively avoid the rites of passage into actual manhood “. It is not a woman’s role to administer rites of passage to manhood, nor are they equipped with the tools to do so. That is a job for men, fathers, but so many men have refused to accept this responsibility.

RM provide, protect, and profess their love to their families. RM marry and train their child(ren) up in the way they should go, so when they get older he will not depart from it. And I to have said a woman cannot raise a boy to become a Man, ONLY a Real Man can do that. That is one of many reasons why there is so many 'thugs' unalive Black Woman.

OGs dropped the ball as well. This generation is a result of absent fathers and the absents fathers from the previous generations. Propaganda tends to work when you have a weakness in the structure. Respect to Mr Brown but I never hear any accountability from this “Papa was a rolling stone” generation on their responsibility of dropping the ball on guiding the future only finger pointing. As a man raised fatherless and still managed to raise my son as a single parent, you can’t expect any child to just know without an example. That been going on since the 70s but it has slowly become more acceptable over the past 10-13 years. Employers letting these men come in interview for a job with man buns and dyed or highlighted dreads/pony tails. Those styles were only acceptable for artists and entertainers.

I lived in Memphis for a few years in the late 90’s and at the time I was new to this country. Having come from Kenya, didn’t understand the amount of animosity between guys and I learned to avoid going to nightclubs due to gun fights. And for the girls, most were hooked on to these dudes despite the guys getting locked up, fighting, no job etc. I felt that something was off, but couldn’t put a finger on what it was. Later on after living in a different state I came to understand the environment that was different in Memphis and continues to the present day.

I can sit with Judge Joe Brown all day and hear him talk 🤣

You can't have one without the other. For every action, there is an equal but opposite reaction. Our men and women have both lost their way.
