Jude & Glenn's 2022 Bibbulmun Track Odyssey Episode 8 - Blackwood to Donnelly River Village

Episode 8 - Blackwood to Donnelly River Village
After a year of planning, in September 2022, we embarked on a north-to-south end-to-end on the 1000-plus kilometre Bibbulmun Track. It was a journey that presented its challenges, both physical and mental. This series showcases the beauty of the south-west of Western Australia and what it’s like to undertake a long distance through-hike through such spectacularly varied terrain.
In this episode Jude & Glenn descend the infamous Cardiac Hill; enjoy the quaint olde world charm of Donnelly River Village; and Jude gives her secrets to keeping rodents out of your backpack.

Nice videos for the Bibbulmun track, I'm planning to hike the AAWT in 2024 and maybe???? do this one after that at some point. Nice to see how it looks.

One of the real highlights for me on the walk was the time spent in the karri & tingle forests … nature at its majestic best

It is a very pretty spot. The must in the valley at dawn is pretty too.

We had some pepper ticks which were quickly removed. Thankfully no kangaroo ticks ‘attacked’ is but I did see some on me. In the main snakes weren’t an issue. We would have seen 30-35 all up, mostly in the south. I did have one encounter with a tiger snake that was on the far side of a log which left fang marks in my boot.
