I don’t think so, he seems more that typical one dimensional English speedster winger, he doesn’t have the close control or and technique of a Foden, Saka, Eze, Palmer, Elliot etc. I think standards for English wingers have improved and I don’t think he has shown he is on their level technically, but he is an effective winger.

How is Eze not in this team ahead of him, who is a fast dribbler winger who has more skill and technique and is two footed and will cause elite teams more problems. Southgate like you have the English football disease of preferring mediocre hardworking players, over players with real talent that will do more damage to top teams. So he picks Dunk, Gallagher, Gordon who are very limited because they work hard and doesn’t pick Tomori, Colwill, TAA, Mainoo, Ramsey and Eze who have the ability at elite level football.

The crazy thing is even in these training sessions Mainoo doesn't look fazed one bit being in the senior setup. I think it's only right he gets taken to the Euros even if he doesn't play, it will only be beneficial for him going forward in his development
