I’m not Mexican but I fell in love with Juan Gabriel since he started his career. I grew up with his music 🎶 and I was blessed to be able to come to 12 of his live shows here in Chicago. He was such an amazing humble generous person. His concerts were 3 or 3 and a half hours long. Sometimes he’d be available at the end of his shows to take pictures with us which I’m honored to have one with him on my birthday. I love him and will miss him forever 😢💔

The first one was Jorge Negrete....and others...but allow me to say this: tradition has it that us Mexicans love seeing charros wearing their charro hats because it represents Mexico and its rich culture; it´s like wearing an afro in other cultures. Wow, my first time seeing & hearing Juan! He made me feel like I wasn’t just watching an amazing singer & orchestra but I was part of a family. I think you said it best when you said it made you feel like “home”. Also I agree with the love feeling & him stirring up many emotions with his voice & actions on the stage that seemed to disappear & I felt like I was a part of something wonderful, even though I couldn’t understand what he was singing about. The pics that he showed in the back were from some of the most famous mexican artists and compositers from all times, the first one was Jose Alfreddo Jimenez, the most important compositer of the mexican music (or rancheras), also Pedro Infante, one of the most beloved singer of mexican music, Jorge Negrete, who was the most representative of the concept of the "Charro Mexicano", an excellent singer of rancheras (by the way, please reacto to one of his songs "Tequila con limón").

Porque está canción???? JUAN GABRIEL tiene mucho muchísimo material para pedir siempre las mismas!!!! En ese Concierto Alberto venía disminuido y aunque como siempre dió lo más que tenía, no es lo mismo que verlo bien.
