El Noa Noa, was a nightclub in Juarez, Mexico, where Juan Gabriel is actually from, I’m from El Paso, TX and Juarez is right on U.S. border, and let me tell you, that club was the bomb back in the day!! Cherrlee López Juan Gabriel was actually from Parácuaro Michoacán but grew up in Juarez. It's a very sad story the reason they had to move from Michoacán to Chihuahua. He suffered a lot and being such a beautiful and great soul that's why he put all what he was in his songs and performance. He is literally a super 🌟

@@jamelakajamal this performance was in Belles Artes, one of the most prestigious and exclusive art theaters in all of Latin America and very few artist get to perform there. He was one of the few who got to go there more than once(his funeral was held there too). Huge, huge honor. But then again, he was such a legend🤷🏽‍♀️maybe it was their honor.

Yeah -- this performance is from 20-30 years after the song came out. The original recording might be better.

Indeed this song was one of his many many hits is about this bar in Juarez Mexico where he was given an opportunity to sing there even dough he was underage and was prohibited and made this song about this place where if you wanted to have a good time you only got to be there! I like your channel Jamal I hope that you continue to show to your subscribers our beautiful range that we have on music and continue to show videos of this wonderful man to me and for many Mexicans that was Juan Gabriel. That been said I recommend for you to watch every single show he has performed in the palace of Fine Arts or ( El palacio de Bellas Artes) Every one is beautiful and just to think that he was prohibited to play there in his first concert because they wrongfully though that he’s music was not an Art! The Noa Noa was the night club where Juan Gabriel made his first performances. He wrote this fun song about it and it became a hit. Seems that he really put the Noa Noa on the map. I read that the building where it was was demolished to build something else and a lot of people got really upset becuse they considered it like an historical landmark thanks to Juan Gabriel.

Hi Jamel!, I’m a big fan of your channel, little explanation the son “vamos al Noa Noa” (lit, Let’s go to Noa Noa) it makes allusion to an old night club In Juarez City, Mexico, close to the border. Juan Gabriel when you was poor and went to jail for a crime he didn’t commit, and when he was looking for job, this place gave him the chance to perform, the place became really popular and help Juan Gabriel to start his career. His gratitude was so big that Juan Gabriel wrote the song for this place :)

Juan Gabriel also know as "el divo" (the diva) of Ciudad Juárez (Juárez city) and if I'm not mistaken there was a famous dancing club in city of Juarez which was called "el Noa Noa" a place that played a role on Juan Gabriel's artistic career.

vidanusa1974 then the one in J-Town was probably a second/extension to the original in T-j... cuz the one in J-Town was a small spot compared to the others around... good stuff!! 👍🏽

This song. When I was younger when we would leave the house I would ask my dad where we were going. Biggest mistake. Each time my dad would start singing "vamos al noa noa" lmao

The original song is more of a country/rock song, one of my all time favorites.
