I went to two Juan Gabriel Concerts, one in Laredo and one in San Antonio, Texas. He was in his prime and put on spectacular shows. Easily over 3 hours of nonstop total entertainment. Start to finish, no intermission, just Juan Gabriel, his band, his Mariachis, his Music and his TALENT. No backup singers, no backup dancers, just pure talent on display. I grew up in Detroit in the 60's watching artist from MOTOWN like the Temptations, Four Tops, The Miracles, plus saw all the major concerts like Jimi Hendrix, Led Zeppelin, Earth Wind & Fire, Chicago, Santana and too many to mention. But no one put on the show that JuanGa did. No one had you on your feet dancing and singing for 3 hours.

Jamel at one point he actually tells the president of Mexico to dance. He was truly the best composer Mexico ever had. RIP JuanGa

My grandma was lucky enough to see him live Two time and got to hug him. She said “he smelled so good!” 😂 my grandma is 83 and she still remembers. ❤️

So, this, my friend, is what is known as “el efecto Juan Gabriel” where the elite and politician class of that time went crazy at the most important cultural venue in Mexico; El Palacio de Bellas Artes. So, he basically did what no one has done in Latin music history! There’s even academic articles about this concert, crazy right?

That concert even though it wasn’t in a big arena it was huge becouse he did it in the museum of Bellas Artes in Mexico City ,that not anybody can perform there ❤️

Jamel el concierto duro 6 hrs, si escuchas la versión original de estudio debe durar la mitad de tiempo que está presentación pero para conciertos especiales como lo fue este, Juan Gabriel le hacía arreglos espectaculares a sus canciones, lo.mismo paso con la canción de "hasta que te conocí"

I got the blessing and good fortune to meet him at an IHOP at 3am about 22yrs ago. He was a wonderful human being. Very down to earth and humble.

That was good 😍😀 it's funny because that's true he had 80 year olds dancing to his music one of my grandmas favorite lol she used to go to all his concerts and be all excited talking about it for months! 😂

Latin music makes you want to move to the beat...can't sit still, no way!! Juan Gabriel is so loved in the Latin community. RIP.

Yeah, I think he is finding this to be true. Any good true art should strike your soul, but if you can't feel a solid latin groove, you are dead inside.

Absolutely fantastic!!!! Juan Gabriel makes me laugh, cry, sing, dance, jump up and down and get crazy. I used to see him in concerts and I’d forgot all my troubles. He was such a giant man in the scenario . I absolutely for ever love and miss him. 😰😅💃👏🎶🎵♥️♥️♥️

Thank you for reacting to Juan Gabriel. I’ve watched every reaction you’ve done of him. My grandmother was friends with Meche the lady who helped Juan Gabriel when he got to Ciudad Juárez. So needless to say his music is played in my home EVERY DAY!! I would love it if you would react to La Muerte Del Palomo by Juan Gabriel. He was 13 yrs old when he wrote the song, and one of my all time favorites by him. 💕💕

I grew up listening to Juan Gabriel in a Latin-Canadian household. We had tickets to see him in New York City in 2016. Unfortunately he passed away before the concert happened.

He was known for booking Bellas Artes, the theater this concert was from for 30 days of 4 hours concerts he broke many concert records for days and attendance thoughout his long carrer, May he rest in peace.
