Prompting her former partner not to hurt herself as much as him, and to move on whether she wants to be friends or not. Currently Juan Gabriel is no longer with us, he passed away in 2016. When he says “how can I tell her if I love you “ he means that he is being honest telling her that he doesn’t love you anymore, instead he lover her, so let’s be friends and don’t hurt us anymore

Im no expert but this sounds like he was in love, then felt betrayed, then found god, the true divine and honest love, he even does the persignation sign. He is even wearing american preaching clothes, white suit, and all that. I think he sways in and out of that theme in this song.
