Thanks for this, I played bass on this one in a cover band back in 1965-66, now I finally know the correct way to play this one! Never too late to learn!

The brilliantly innovative James Jamerson (the Motown Funk Brothers bassist on this recoding) used a high bridge sponge to mute tone, and reduce decay time (length of a note) to give the thudding, clipped base notes that made his lines jump out of any recording. He pioneered the use of chromatic scales, melodic, complementary bass lines, and popularised the concept of the R&B, rock drums/base rhythm section. Just about everyone including Paul McCartney, Jack Bruce, John Entwhistle, Brian Wilson, Chris Squire, Mel Schacher, Billy Bass Nelson, Bootsie Collins etc etc considered him the greatest bassist of them all. Which he was. PS really, really smooth cover - nailed it.

The notation may be harmonically correct but the use of enharmonic notes (G flat / F harp) is something to avoid.

Yeah - sorry, but the way you wrote it (my guess is: the way some software offered it to you) is almost impossible to read.

@@gidikalchhauser Sorry, indeed i used an automatic software but only for the harmonic part that i don't know about. I will only use Tabs from now ;)
