Really miss the '4' seating arrangements. These things were still fast too. By the way, anyone reading, I don't remember these trains doing it but the Piccadilly line trains, when pulling out of a station sometimes jerk, with a loud 'thock' sound. What's that? The doors not resetting? Safety feature probably? Pity there wasn't a Piccadilly train exiting Finsbury Park at the same time, you see it opposite in the tunnel for a while, quite close, freaks people out I think. Nice vid.
@ElectroRail
3 жыл бұрын
Sorry I'm 9 years late, but here's an answer: That jerk is a problem on many different lines. Usually it is to do with someone leaning on the doors and therefore the train stopping accelerating, as the doors were no longer fully closed.
@LikeMindedIncident
3 жыл бұрын
@@ElectroRailNo worries. 9 years, still about. All makes sense, cheers, 'thocks' still happen a lot, oh well. I've grown to like the new Vict stock looks wise and the performance is crazy. G-force defying torque and braking like off a supercar. Piccadilly line needs a reboot. Sometimes I think the drivers are using pedal power... On another note, I miss the D78 stock off the District line. I haven't been to America but when I was on those it felt like I was on a New York subway. To boot, I have a functional HO model of the District R Stock 1949 to 83, the one with the curved bottomed sides, what a beauty. See you in another 9 years haha, all the best.

Great video on 1967 Stock
Some of the 1967 stock had ex Northern line 1972mk1 stock cars converted to be compatible and placed in the middle as they did not have automatic driving equipment. The 1972mk1 stock was basically a crew operated version of the 1967 stock. The 1972mk1s were ordered in a hurry to help out the 1959 stock to cope with high demand for Northern line services and there were not enough trains. They were rushed off the factory production line, hence why they look identical to each other but the 72mk1s had longer windows, guard control panels and fluorescent lights.

If you pause at 0:17, the train says Brixton and on the side walls, you can see a blue line going above the station name. You can also see the little blue “Victoria line” banner on the front door window. When you enter the train, the poles are literally blue. On the Bakerloo line, they are brown. At 0:41, the announcer literally says “This is a Victoria line train to Brixton.” Every clue in the video screams this is 100% the Victoria line, yet somehow you still manage to conclude that it’s not the Victoria line and that it’s the Bakerloo line… how do you arrive to such a conclusion?
