Arnel saved the band and brought them a NEW audience they never had before; in the documentary film (Everyman’s Journey), the original band members said they never knew they had fans in the Philippines. Arnel is amazing! Steve Perry was, and still is, amazing! Let’s just leave it at that people.

People, please stop comparing Arnel to Steve and vice versa.... Steve is Steve, a great vocalist, great voice and so as Arnel. But they are unique individual in every way, they have their own style in singing and stage performances. We have to accept that Steve's era with Journey is over and now it is Arnel's time. Give respect to these two great frontman of this great band.

STILL The Best Rock groups of all time. This is one of the BEST Videos I’ve seen of them in years. Neil was blessed finding Arnel . Steve and Arnel will both go down in History as Best voices of Journey. Not to forget Dean has the Voice too. So Glad they are STILL Rocking.

comparing is destroying people. These dudes can stand side by side in the whole history of the band. Journey is not only SP. I miss him so much, too, but for 15 years AP has been their front man. I so appreciate Deen Castronovo's interview where he mentioned that having AP has allowed them to move forward and he appreciates him being a chameleon. He also said if AP is out then theyre out. These guys are old, they dont want the drama anymore and just want to perform and share their talent. Even AP idolizes SP so much and SP appreciates AP. I just wish SP, Neal, and Jon will write songs together again. They were awesome. SP will always be The Voice, no one contesting that (or only ignorant people will contest with that). But gee AP doesnt deserve the hate he gets from this so called Journey fans who will only see SP. Journey is a band. Appreciate each and everyone of them for their own part in the WHOLE amazing history of the band.

I first saw Journey in San Francisco....1978. Never thought they'd still be doing shows all these years later, but then again: I was also wrong about the Grateful Dead for decades. Arnel I think is the singular source that resurrected the band's popularity, successive generations of listeners. His voice is SO Steve Perry-like that it provides a bridge....to the original song/vocals. I think he's amazing and the band LUCKY to have stumbled into him....via KZread. (!)

Can people just stop comparing Arnel Pineda with Steve Perry? They are both great singers. Stop living in the past. Steve was great and yet, we are all still here listening and enjoying Journey's music with the voice of Arnel Pineda. Neal was the one who came after Arnel not the other way around. It won't be easy for Journey to replace Arnel once he leaves the band. (If ever) The bond they have together as a whole band is unimaginable. Arnel is the heart of Journey for 15 years already.

Just be grateful for this man's (Arnel) contribution to continuing the legacy of Steve Perry's songs and making the songs and band alive as much as he can. Just accept that steve can no longer sing. Remember, Steve loves Arnel to keep his songs alive. Yes, there is always an original and it's normal we can't compare the TWO different talents but please just give respect to this man for keeping the journey alive.
