Word. Since Schon and Cain want to continue touring they should be bending over backwards to keep Arnel happy. They had the gold standard with Perry, and Arnel is the next best thing. They won't find any one with the voices and stage presences of Perry and Pineda. Most major acts aren't able to find a comparable replacement when they lose their lead singer. Journey lucked out in finding Pineda. Having typed Perry & Pineda I now want them to tour together as duo.

Castronova has said that his voice could not do an entire concert, night after night. At this point, it seems that Arnel can also use the break that Castronova contributes because his vocal chords are increasingly strained, as well. Having both of them is what makes it work now. Still wish it was Steve Perry though, always, by far. I don't listen to or go to the clone concerts. They should have considered what Jeff Scott Soto could have brought to reliven the band, but they burned him, and he still took the high road on his response to what they did to him. Gregg Rolie probably should now distance himself, which is a shame. And Steve Perry may have had some personal issues that led him to become controlling, but that (especially since he publicly apologized and owned up to it and did so much to try to make up for his mistakes) seems like nothing in comparison to the embarrassing dump that Cain and Schon has created of Journey and its legacy now.

I find it sad that one of the most successful bands in history are ending on such a disgraceful note. These are all old men that are all very wealthy and to ruin their legacy by going out fighting over money and egos is just beyond belief. The biggest names involved have more money than they could spend in five lifetimes. Why let your last years be about drama instead of letting the music speak for itself and celebrating their collective talents? Money is not the problem. The LOVE of money is the root of all evil.

To me, the trouble maker here is "Mrs. Schon". There was never any legal battles or bickering until she came along. She was not part of the original group with Gregg and Steve and she runs around calling them evil names and trying to take away their copyright and trademark rights because she is greedy, feeling like Neal deserves everything just because he doesn't know how to manage his money. He always needs to be on the road because that's where the $$$ is. That's why he needed Steve to get his surgery....money! As Steve said, "This is not a band decision". Unfortunately, to the others, it was a cash decision. Steve wasn't physically able to it. As a huge fan, it pisses me off. I wish little miss greedy would get her nose out of the band's business, old and new, and keep her snotty nose out of it. That's my POV.

It could be the end of the band if he left I mean Cain is 73 he might not want to go through it all again.

Pink Floyd, Van Halen, the Beatles, Journey, KISS, Black Sabbath, Judas Priest, the list goes on. Internal band strife and discord (which I've witnessed and been involved in MANY times having been in about a dozen bands) , are a VERY common thing. Bands are VERY much like a marriage, and sometimes marriages go bad. Finger pointing, public sniping, "scenes and incidents occurring", all part of the process. NO ONE--is ever completely guilty, and no one is ever completely innocent. 99.99% of the time, EVERYONE in the group tends to act, and react poorly. It may sometimes only take the actions of one to kickstart the turmoil, but inevitably everyone ends up contributing their fair share of bad behavior. That's just how it is. The best example I can give is this, though I'm sure some will disagree, as I'm also fairly confident that those who do disagree, are disagreeing as a FAN, and not as a musician or band member. """Everything that DLR said about Edward Van Halen is TRUE. Everything that EVH said about DLR, IS ALSO TRUE."""" Everything Roget Waters accuses David Gilmour of is TRUE. Everything David Gilmour says about Roger Waters "oppressive control" and arrogance is ALSO TRUE. Welcome to rock 'n' roll. Welcome to the "bidness". There is no doubt in my mind, that Neil Schon is guilty of being petty, and greedy. There is also no doubt in my mind that he's RIGHT, a good portion of the time. Same can be said for the rest of the guys, with the possible exception of Gregg Rolie, who's been out of the Journey picture for a long time, and is understandably cautious of getting into the middle of a bitter divorce that's not of his making. Everyone should remember though, Journey had already been conceived by Neal Schon, and Gregg Rolie BEFORE they left Santana in '72, and Neal is the only founding member whose never left the band. Saying that Neal Schon doesn't have cause, to feel about Journey the way he does, is ABSURD, in the same way that saying EVH didn't have the right to feel the way he did about the band that BORE HIS NAME. Journey would have no legacy AT ALL without Neal Schon. Period. The sad part is Gregg being put of by all this bickering.

Arnel was an absolute Godsend to Journey and he is why the band toured and brought their legendary sound touring for over a decade

The only talent this Lil 5 ft. man (Arnel) has is impersonating, imitating and singing all STEVE PERRY old hits songs. 🤣😆🤣🤣This little man will NEVER be a true, multi-talented (The voice/Hits songs writer) as Steve Perry or Mariah Carey in his lifetime. I'm just going to keep it real. This is why we NEVER heard Arnel's original hits song playing on the radio or any new material on KZread.

They all are in the “drama” together. Drama makes money. Thank goodness Steve Perry is smarter than them all. Arnel may be sweet, but he plays the game, too. Rollie is a game player, too. I still listen to the music with Steve Perry as the lead singer. Thanks .

Steve Perry is not smarter, he really can’t tour and he initiated this mess back in the 80s when he pulled a fast one and had original member Ross Valory and Steve Smith fired for his own personal money reasons.

@@wallofrock6725 Schon and Cain fired Valory and Smith a second time. Neal and Jon are paranoid freaks. They are performing for money only. Duh? If you watch an interview, Steve Perry said if he could change or redo things he would have. At the time and moment it seemed okay. I think we all have done things we regret. Steve Perry had no financial dealings to make. He left Journey at its peak. They were making tons of money. Steve wrote or co-wrote at least 90% of Journey songs that Arnel is singing. Sure, I would want my cut. Many artists have sued for their cuts after they left their band. Steve does not stand alone.

All this feuding going on with his band and you have to start looking at what is the common denominator which is Neal Schon. I really believe it’s the end of the road for this band because without Jonathan Cain, Ross on base Steve Smith on drums it’s just not the same journey anymore. Arnel has done a great job for 20 years if I was him I’d be looking for a way out myself to go live my life. I know Arnel has said they can let him go at any time so evidently his contract holds him to the band and that’s the reason he hasn’t walked away.

Personally, I think it's to wrap it up. I absolutely love Journey, all phases of their long career. But with that said this situation has just become a joke. When the lawsuits outweigh the music being performed there's something seriously wrong. I'm an old man so when I see the bands I grew up listening to, Journey, Queensryche, tearing themselves apart it just makes me equal parts pissed and sad. Agree to disagree and go your "Separate Ways", see what I did there!? Do these guys really want to be remembered for court dates or music.

Journey is nothing more than just a tribute band now. I wouldn't go see them even if it was free, let alone pay an arm and a leg for an over-priced ticket.

That doctor here in LA has used steroid injection therapy to literally fix the voices of Steven Tyler, Rod Stewart, Roger Daltrey, Bob Seger, and many lesser known singers to startling effect. I’m sure Steve Perry will utilize his services when Neal Schon makes that call. I promise you, this farewell cash grab is too big to pass up, and the fans and their Bic lighters will go ape shit….

Neal seems to be kind of a hot head. Years ago I was on his FB page and I innocently mentioned that he and Greg had founded Journey after they left Santana. He was furious and said that only he was the original founder of Journey and then banned me from his page. I love his playing but he needs a serious ego check. He's not even in the top 25 of best rock guitarists. Hopefully it all gets resolved because this is getting to be a really bad reality show.

Time for Steve Perry, Jonathan Cain, Ross Valory and Steve Smith to put together a new band, no more Neal Schon, the source of all Journey conflicts, no more drama, just AWESOME music and they get to pick their own guitarist, Ritchie Sambora maybe?, they will be AWESOME together!, hope they consider it! 👍🏻👍🏻
