I find Joshua a great book and your point on conquering and remembering is well taken. What do we do once victory is obtained? It's easy to be in the fight when you have something to fight for, it's another to remember to stay true to what you fought for once victory is obtained.

@@pastorlandon a quick question on the book of Joshua. Does the book mention Jasher ? I have not yet come to the chapter of it may or may not mention Jasher but from my understandings of Jasher, which details the creation story in such great detail to say the least, is mentioned in the book of Joshua and Samuel. Is this much true ? Your help would be great.

What brought me here was my pastor telling my I was like Joshua. I thought he was talking about Joseph and ruling Egypt but he meant that me and my family will serve the lord and I must choose this day to whom I serve

Awesome summary. Just finished Joshua today. A lot of information to take in, but this summary helped me put the information together. I like the point you make about "remember." I think as a christian, is helpful to remember who we are in Christ and who we are without him. Especially during the hard times in life. I know I wouldn't be man today without Christ in my life. I remember when my father died in 2014, i was at the university campus at that time when my mother texted me that my father passed away. I quickly remember the Bible verse when God told to Joshua "Moses my servant is dead. Now therefore arise,...No man shall be able to stand before you all the days of your life. Just as I was with Moses, so I will be with you. I will not leave you or forsake you." God is indescribable. He provide for all of my needs until I finish college, im just sad that my father died 1year before I graduate.

I totally agree... I think he is also a character that shows how one individuals ability to keep faith in God can bring unimaginable bennefits to a believers descendants... who would have known that Joseph's children could have been given a blessing by Jacob equal to their Father and Uncles... totally mind bending.
