Josh Hinger on Training with Zhang Weili

Josh Hinger is a Brazilian Jiu Jitsu black belt under Andre Galvao from Atos BJJ in San Diego, California. A specialist in both the Gi and Nogi aspects of Jiu-Jitsu, Hinger won many important trophies as a middleweight competitor in the sport’s international circuit, including a Three-Time IBJJF Adult Blackbelt Nogi World Champion.
Born in the United States, he was raised in La Habra and was a competitive wrestler at Sonora High School in Brea. After finishing high school wrestling, Hinger met with an old team mate who introduced him to the world of Jiu Jitsu. Captivated and intrigued he set forth to learn how the Brazilian’s grapple - Hinger made his professional mixed martial arts (MMA) debut with only four months of Jiu Jitsu training in November 2003.

His comments about the kindness, generosity, professionalism, and humility of Weili and her team, are consistent in my experience, with the Chinese culture in general. The western media would lead us to believe something quite different about China. Personally, I think what I have seen and what Josh is saying, is a far more accurate measure of the Chinese people.

3:00 is what separates great fighters from elite fighters. A lot of guys would've shrugged their shoulders once guy said he needed to leave

Mispronounced his name, which would be Shuai / 帅. Shui / 水, as the host noted, means water.
