On Saturday, July 9th, 2011 ~ at the Resch Center in Green Bay, Wisconsin.. Anastasia Lee & her mother attended a Josh Groban Concert, at the pre-concert event.. they asked a fellow concert-goer to Text a Question to Josh.. (As Anastasia and her family don't have cell-phones) The Groban Team would select Three Texts to Read & Answer during the concert..
Anya's Text ~ "My name is Anastasia Lee, I am 14 years old & I Love to Sing Opera.. Can I Sing a Duet with You"?..
If you were among the nearly 6,000 at the Resch Center on Saturday for Josh Groban's concert, chances are you remember more about Anastasia Lee (Johnson's) spontaneous duet with Josh than she does.
Groban invited audience members to text him questions prior to his concert. He picked three to answer during the show, including one from Anastasia, in which she told him she loves to sing classical crossover and could she do a duet with him.
Nobody was more surprised than she, as when he called her name she thought it was a mistake, and the lady next to her kept telling her it wasn't. Then he plucked her from the front row and told the crowd as they headed for a secondary stage, "This is 'Green Bay Idol' in the making, ladies and gentlemen.''
Once Groban headed her direction to escort her to the stage, it all became a 'blur' for the precious little middle school girl from Ashwaubenon/Green Bay WI, who made fans gasp when she broke into "To Where You Are'' with a voice that defied/tripled her age.
'It was an absolutely stunning REAL "Jackie Evancho-esque moment" if not better, from a little girl in the crowd.'
He allowed her to open the song by herself to an arena that gasped at the beauty of her operatic voice. The crowd was quick to its feet with a standing ovation before the little girl could even finish.
She got a standing ovation from the crowd and a high-five from Groban, who said, "That was awesome. ... Man, I was more nervous than you.''
While you wouldn't have known it from her poised performance, the self-taught soprano was extremely nervous.
"I was so scared I couldn't think,'' she said. "A mixture of being scared and thrilled at the same time..... I didn't know what to think at first. I had to sit in my seat to think what had just happened all over in my head and replay it.''
But she does remember this much about her very close encounter with Groban: "He was very nice and funny!''
After sending the child/little girl off the stage with an exuberant high five, and a big bear hug, a dejected Groban joked fans would have to make do with "just me'' for the rest of the night.
Fellow concert-goers said Josh spoke very highly of Anastasia after the performance.

Hi Anastasia, I was there to witness your beautiful duet with Josh! The unbelievable excitement I had for you and the admiration toward Josh to give you that opportunity put tears in my eyes. Someone asked Josh at the after show signing if he was amazed by your singing. His response was "more than amazed!" Your voice is absolutely lovely and I hope you continue to sing and bless people with your voice.
This is the 3rd "Josh Sings With Fan" video that I've watched, and he ALWAYS asks if they want water like immediately. He's such an amazing guy.

I don't care where you are or what you sing, to receive a standing ovation is the ultimate tribute as to how your performance went and how people enjoyed what you gave! It doesn't matter if it is before 300 fans or less at the opening of softball season and you are singing the National Anthem or before 2,500 people paying tribute to your Savior through the talents he has give you! People standing on their feet clapping and yelling and tears rolling down the faces of grown men can't be denied that something special just happened. Never forget how that feels and let it get old!

Anastasia Lee has her own site as well as her singing group Tre Princepesse. Anastasia is now 23 years old and is better than ever! Anastasia Lee is a Contralto. The lowest female voice. But she does have a very large vocal range. To hear her less operatic voice check out her cover of "Such A Simple Thing". Beautifully done.

Oh, and I love your voice. Even with all those nerves, (can only imagine!) you stayed on pitch and kept a nice tone and controlled operatic vibrato. Keep singing and inspiring others!
