My wife passed away a year ago this past June and when she was in the hospital trying to recover from a stroke, this version was the song we would sing to each other. It was always our favorite from "The Phanton of the Opera."

I have been there and done that! I was the one who endured the stroke and emerged having to rethink my life and what’s next. Including teaching myself to walk again. It was music like this that kept me sane! I lost my wife years ago… suddenly…. I would have given up much to have her in my hospital room! May she RIP.

The richness of Josh's voice, with a smooth vibrato, plus the live orchestra and Kelly Clarkson's incredible vocal versatility, brings tears to my eyes every time!

My god, Kelly proves she can sing every genre of music there is. Even though its not common knowledge to most,.. Kelly originally started out studying classical music and Opera. That is the reason as a coach on the Voice, she always gets the Opera singers on her team. As a rabid fan of Phantom ( have seen it 5 times on stage) this is a beautifully performed rendition of All I ask of you. HUGE fan of BOTH Josh and Kelly! Bravissimo!

@@matheus97922 I mean his highest note in this song is a Gb4 iirc so it's quite high but doable for a good baritone, which he absolutely is. The Phantom on the other hand...hooo boy, that is definite tenor territory. A very strong baritone could potentially reach those notes but they'd lack the clear tenoral sound.

This guy has possibly the best voice I’ve ever heard the clarity and tone is incredible

She started out originally studying classical music and Opera. That is why as a coach on The Voice she always gets and adds Opera singers to her team. She is incredibly versatile.

This is one of the most beautiful live duets I've ever heard ❤️ 😍 ♥️

Just by the look of the sheer joy of those in attendance, this is the greatest performance ever of this song!

Goodness one forgets how freakingly gifted a vocalist Kelly Clarkson is until you hear her match note for note with someone like Josh.

Uh, no. Sorry, but her raspy, faint voice compared to Groban really shows. Groban is to Kelly Clarkson what Kelly Clarkson is to me. Almost. I guess I'm not that good, but with a little practice, I think I could measure up to the comparison, because Clarkson doesn't have the talent or hasn't developed her voice into a finely honed classical instrument like Groban. Btw, stopped in because Josh Groban's name appeared on a T-shirt in Mr. Robot.

But I think it's fair to say that Josh Groban has a nicer voice and it shows. I think their priorities differ and I think Kelly Clarkson gets help from modern technology with the sound of her voice where Josh Groban doesn't and isn't in need of it.

Josh Groban's voice is so healing, yes, a healing voice for the soul.

I've always known Kelly Clarkson has this amazing vocal range. They sound absolutely beautiful together. I'd love to hear an album of the two of them.

Wow. Kelly is such a powerhouse voice of rock and pop I forget she can hit that higher classical register too. Her and Groban…just perfection.

The way she said "Say you love me.. " really got me ❤

I saw the special anniversary show, commemorating the Elvis Presley TV special of 1968. Josh closed the show with his rendition of "It's now or never." That was actually Elvis' version of an opera ballad. I knew Josh does opera but Elvis Presley too. Magnificent talent.

I never dreamed that Kelly Clarkson could sing like THAT! Great job, Kelly.

I adored Josh the moment I heard him sing on Ally McBeal. I even purchased the Charlotte Church CD with him singing, "The Prayer", just to hear him sing. I was at his first concert to Dallas, Texas, and the latest one. He is an incredibly talented guy, and very down to earth!!. Loved his story how he explained how it rains in Dallas! OMG, what a hoot!

Josh Groban is one of my favorite singers. He's amazing!!

Have we all forgotten what it was like to go to the theater, with hundreds in attendance, no masks, no fear, just emotion worn on your sleeve, as you took in the performance that sent chills up your spine. Oh how I would love to return to that time, a time when I could see the radiance of the person next to me.

I was lucky enough to see the New York troop of phantom in Connecticut way back in 2001. That performance was superb and Josh's performances right on par with the best. Yes it was quite the experience.

Ok...Kelly & Josh's performance is a given. They won't be there if it's not because of their talent. Did you see the stage design though? That stage deserves that performance 👍👍👍

I miss our highschool library all of a sudden. I remember I borrowed a pocket book with the novel Phantom of the Opera. I also read the book Frankenstein. It's a good library with all the classic novels. (Wuthering Heights, Pride and Prejudice, Little Women, Dracula, The Scarlet letter, Tales of two Cities etc)

She actually brings opera into pop. It was an excellent show. And Josh has an otherworldly voice. Oddly enough, Nicole Scherzinger did an excellent Christine also ❤

Actually, Kelly Clarkson's popularity as a pop singer was because the record deal she won and signed from AGT only wrote pop songs for her. Kelly was classically trained too, and expressed in various interviews that she's always wanted to branch out into country and soul territory.

I did watch this but it was late in night and I was tired. However it was worthwhile. I cannot praise both Josh and this artist joining him. Just so beautiful.Clear and most powerful!!! Full of admiration. Thank you so very much.
