Joseph Reunites with His Family l Voddie Baucham

Joseph Reunites with His Family l Voddie Baucham
Genesis 46:28-33:
28 He had sent Judah ahead of him to Joseph to show the way before him in Goshen, and they came into the land of Goshen. 29 Then Joseph prepared his chariot and went up to meet Israel his father in Goshen. He presented himself to him and fell on his neck and wept on his neck a good while. 30 Israel said to Joseph, “Now let me die, since I have seen your face and know that you are still alive.” 31 Joseph said to his brothers and to his father’s household, “I will go up and tell Pharaoh and will say to him, ‘My brothers and my father’s household, who were in the land of Canaan, have come to me. 32 And the men are shepherds, for they have been keepers of livestock, and they have brought their flocks and their herds and all that they have.’ 33 When Pharaoh calls you and says, ‘What is your occupation?’ 34 you shall say, ‘Your servants have been keepers of livestock from our youth even until now, both we and our fathers,’ in order that you may dwell in the land of Goshen, for every shepherd is an abomination to the Egyptians.”

From the time I got saved I would say the scripture “you and your household will be saved”. And I believed God would honor His word. My parents got saved when they were in their 90’s. All my children were saved at a young age. Still believing for my sister and her family.

A wonderful ceremony now I understand more about the Joseph story U really put it in perspective a more understandable I heard it from a lots of pastor and it's All or mostly about how God turned your enemy to be ashamed and forgiveness and prosperity it's great to know how the Bible talks about Shepherds and Sheep as in we are his sheep and he God is our Shepherd and to see that most of God chosen people were Shepherd. Haliluyah praise God 🙏

I don't understand how in EVERY service there is an unruly, crying child in the audience, with a parent, guardian, usher, or other attendee without enough sense to take the child out of the room because it's a noisy distraction.

We have children in the service because that has been the practice of the church since the beginning. One consequence of that is that the children grow-up around the Christ's Church gathered in worship and they learn how to act in worship at a very early age. We prioritize the discipleship of children over convenience and comfort. Perhaps another reason in God's providence is so that you grow in patience and sanctification. We prioritize the Lord's Day over having the perfect recording for KZread.

A church without children is a dying church. God Bless the little children. Praise God for the parents who bring their children to church and by this act of obedience may God touch the hearts of these little ones that they may come to know Him. Selfishness runs rampant in every church. Even in my own. Examine your heart that you may see the importance of children in church.

Voddie, you are an excellent teacher, and I enjoy listening to God's word that you teach. One thing I detest when you teach is the word Christian you use to describe God's people. Christianity is a man-made and false religion in America. It has nothing to do with Christ. The Lord never called His people Christians. In scripture, we are called saints, believers, brethren sheep, flock, and disciples. In America, even the lawless claims to be Christians, and so they are a false people not of God's. You are a teacher who claims to study the scriptures and can not discern the difference. As the Lord Jesus had said to Nicodemus in John 3:10, you are a teacher of Israel and don't know these things. God's people are not Christians.
