Jorge Masvidal story time: Growing up in Miami, backyard fights and more | UFC 251 | ESPN MMA
Спорт
Jorge Masvidal takes ESPN MMA’s Brett Okamoto back to the Miami apartment complex he grew up in with his mother. “Gamebred” tells stories about (1:45) having his bike stolen and getting into the fights. He also discusses (6:01) getting a knife pulled on him, (10:45) living in his car, being the “dine and dash king of Miami”, (15:17) trying to hide a bad report card from his mom, (19:41) how he got connected with Dan Lambert at American Top Team and (21:06) fighting in a backyard vs. Kimbo Slice’s protégé Ray. (23:01) Masvidal describes how he can sense danger and how it led to the “3 piece and the soda.”

Ok, great!
The more i see about this guy the more i like him. So relatable. Straight forward and cool
most of those BADASS dude like him, are pretty down to earth very respectful guys most of the time, because they know better then most, street wise.
staying humble, and going back home even when it looking good.
14:42 Brett seems like a undercover cop
Born and Raised in Miami-Dade County. Lived about 30 min. from Westchester. Love hearing the stories. It was a crazy time and area to grow up in. Lot of friends didn't make it. Happy to still be living down here but moved about 2 hours south to the Florida Keys. Just far enough to get away but not be far from Home. Masvidal is definitely the Hometeam Fighter for everyone who grew up and live in the 305.
My childhood was a lot like this guys 😂😂, I’m rooting for him
Jorge love you brother ❤️

Nyx Elizondo Brett is good at giving interviewing without pissing off the fighters like Ariel, he’s always chill

Melvin Colon true, he had many questions but there was never a pushy vibe from him. That’s most likely why I was confused by him as an interviewer
Lol the dine and ditch story had me weak; “Excuse me sir” “I’m out” lol
This fight is only a few days away, this is insane!! Huge fan of both dudes.
