@T Uu Not really, from his perspective he sees it like that b/c in the middle east Islamic culture, Father's stick with their kids thru everything and play a vital part and hence they respect their father a lot like Khabib, that's their culture. Being a black dude in the States, I can attest to the fact that it ain't the same for us where dudes abandon their kids left & right

@@kushsmoker4206 I think that goes for EVERY fighter on the roster. I'm talking more in terms of promotion & elevating fighters so they can be seen by a much bigger audience. I've seen more/better promotion in the last 6 months from ESPN than I have in 5 years from the UFC alone, especially for the "not quite Superstar" type guys.

Dad sacrificed his life on that raft from Cuba . . His son has made it . . The American dream . . . For dad it was all worth it . . . Priceless .

Jorge Sr is Scarface, the end of the movie was dramatized, he just went back to jail, got close with his son, and came home to his son fighting Yves Edwards.
I could watch the Masvidals tell stories for days
Now it all makes even more since why Jorge always talks about his fight with Yves Edwards...very touching.
This is fantastic. It's great that Jorge was able to do this for his father. Respect.

I can't say enough about his down to earth attitude when his father is around him, and his father has that same down to earth demeanor. Tons of respect to the Masvidals. When Jorge wins the BMF belt, I would have liked to see his father wrap the BMF belt around his waste. The Rock needs to step aside for sure.

Even though Jorge is a very bad man to mess with, my favorite thing is that he gives GOD the praise for his life and abilities. 🙏👍
I love getting to know these fighters and me personally especially fighters I can relate to on certain levels. Super proud of Jorge for getting to this point 👌🏼

He has alot of social anxiety about speaking in English interviews. He could not speak english until he was 12, he mentioned this in the UFC Spanish documentary on him. He likely just prefers to have something to occupy silent moments. I dont know why this would be funny.

I did that stretch when I was 16 and it's no joke, the sharks would scratch the bottom of the raft at night. I remember only sleeping 30 minutes one night out of the 5 days it took from Havana to key West, in 1993. Great interview. . Adelante Jorge!!!!!!

@@Day-ZDuke you'd be surprised man. everyone's got some kind of insecurity...I work in the dental industry and I've seen a lot of tears come streaming down when an ex-crack addict, etc looks in the mirror after getting proper dental work done...not to mention it makes eating and talking much easier too..
