@Every Little Thing Simon is the one trying to buy a club not Gabby. You don't see Gabby trying to be a coach do you. He knows he wasn't the best footballer. Simon has the perfect job. He is great at criticizing others and talksport is the perfect platform to do that. He is not a club owner material. He would fight with everybody, the work place would be toxic. The new generation does not like it when you tell them the truth. Simon would be a good club owner in the 1960's not today. You got to have a certain level of tact to communicate with players and young people today. Simon does not have it.

@Every Little Thing I run my own medical office here in the US. My sister is the doctor and we co-. Owned the facility. I hire and fire people and take care of daily operations and I am telling you, in today's world you have to know how to communicate with people or you business is going to get a bad rating on social media, people are not going to want to work for you or do business with you. That is it. Simon communication skills is poor. He is an old Dinosaur. His way of doing things won't work today. You can always buy a club but if you carry around that stink attitude, eventually your business start to feel it because people will not want to work for you and then the performance on the pitch start to get bad and then it spiral from there. People and football stars have plenty of options today. Nobody has to put up with Simons constant criticism and stink personality. There is a way you go about things. You got to have tact and diplomacy to deal with this new generation. Simon does not have any of these qualities. I have nothing personal against Simon, I listen to talksport everyday but people like you are kidding yourself. If he buys Coventry, the club would be in deep trouble in a short while.

That's not true. Some Singapore financier did, and then immediately sold the club onto Jordan. He then bankrupted the club and they went into administration. Whilst Villa were circling the plughole for a few years, our club captain led by example by putting on weight, outlawing the young French players we had at the time and running to the chairman when professionals on the staff like Roy Keane called him out on it. When he wasn't in Dubai or Abu Dhabi off his face on blow. Disgrace of a man who stole a living off Villa for 5 years and is now incredibly passing comment on other footballers on a national radio station.

He fried himself and us when the markets imploded in 2008 and that investment company started calling loans and then shoved us into admin. Pretty sure they imploded as well. The infamous protest at LBGs headquarters trying to convince the bank to let Parish buy the ground was pivotal. He was a terrible owner for palace. Brought them into administration, and once they got shot of him after a few years they established themselves as a premier league club after his years of failure
Instead of using “you a dummy” as an insult should be “you a gabby” pure rage someone called me that 🤣🤣
I thought Simon rattled the tom-tom and blew sax in Spandau Ballet. Coventry City rival the rugby club for support. How they get the fervent support is impressive. The club therefore has a fabulous base to launch success. Simon being a good fit for them, absolutely. He's a king of sit down comedy which will add to the upbeat nature that a good takeover will provide.
I'd be quite happy to see him pick Coventry up! Can't do any worse surely?
Simon talking about his interest on radio is actually hypocritical
Gabby cracks me up lol…..he’s right though. Simon did indeed drive Palace into the ground
As a lifelong Sky Blues fan I would love Simon to buy the club. It's a potentially big club with an amazing passionate fan base, it just needs a smart person at the helm to get them back in the Premiership.

100% mate last season was great at the Ricoh (CBS) I'm a Liverpool fan and so are my kids. But we live in cov. Took the kids to both stadiums last year and they loved Anfield and CBS.
Absolute class response from Simon
I'm like 125 IQ and I'd be feeling pretty insecure coming up against Simon in a personal head-to-head. Gratefully for Gabbie, if you're swimming around in that 85~ zone, no such fear concerns you.

Jordan is pretty easy to outwit. Because, although he's smart, he has clear and obvious biases and gets quite emotional often. He simps constantly for owners and is a pretty extreme free market ideologue (like most rich cunts). eg. he constantly repeats the myth that club owners don't make money, when they make fucking billions, far more than players and managers.

I would half that 85 figure.
Great comments from Simon I know who I would want to look after my investment and it wouldn’t be a very average footballer and an even less than average pundit

OK then - get a 50 million pound bank loan - give it to Simon and you'll get a return of.....zero. Just like he did with his last club. I guess maths or commerce wasn't your strongest subject at school.🤪🤪🤪
coventry city is actually a pl club like rovers, qpr, sunderland, boro or sheffield wednesday. for example also charlton athletics is a pl club. it is always a tragedy that clubs like coventry, charlton, boro or rovers are not in pl.

I agree there are bigger clubs outside of the PL that are bigger clubs than some in the PL. But just curious, you’ve named 7 clubs there which you think are PL clubs, which 7 current clubs would you get rid of to replace them? I can only think of 5 candidates: Bournemouth, Brentford, Brighton, Palace, Fulham… Even then I think Palace or Fulham are at least the same size as QPR or maybe Charlton. There’s also Ipswich, Derby, Portsmouth etc that haven’t been mentioned. There’s too many big clubs to all fit in the PL at the same time

The amount of innovative ways to roast someone that I've picked up from Simon amazes even me every time I come across a new one. My favourite? "2 + 2 equals yellow, to Gabby."
Did Murphy press the more coffee button at 6:33 ?
Always remember that good ol' Gabby had to Google the word moron ... 🤣
That's Danny getting free Costa coffee for a year 😀🤣🧐
A failed club owner! That's why he's so negative against players but always favouring the owners
Gabby Agbonlahor was a striker for Aston Villa he was a sharp shooter absolutely prolific just like his punditry skills 341 games and 76 goals in 13 seasons just as good as Alan Shearer He also knows what he’s saying he’s as good as Jamie O’Hara

I'd welcome Simon to our great city and there are plenty of great bars over here.

Well, that's how you put imbeciles in their place. Not by taking the moral high road, but by drawing clear boundaries and consequences that make them think twice about trying such stunts again. The world is far too ruthless for such myopic altruism.

@@senzokai3156 I can't see Simon being successful as a club owner today because you have to know how to communicate with today's generation. It requires tact and diplomacy and Simon does not have this. He is going to piss off everybody by telling them how bad they are. He is going to take everything personal. He has a great job on talksport criticizing people all day and getting paid.

@@Stewy-xw9fz I agree with you on that, but the context of what he says applies to weaklings who fail, like those at Man United. Those with a backbone, listen to leaders. Look at Guardiola. So many top talent have said he's not a people's person, and this is a manager we're talking about here. Yet, players with the right attitude, thrive under him. Additionally, football club owners don't always need to be involved with the players. That's where administration and agents come into the picture.

@@senzokai3156 a lot of football club owners tell the managers what to do and who to play in certain situations. E g ManCity bought Grealish for $100 mil and the owners told Guardiola to play him. Sterling had to leave because Guardiola had no choice but to play him. The owners cannot afford for a supposedly $100 million asset to depreciate rapidly. He would have worth nothing sitting on the bench. Sterling would have been a better fit with Halaand but that does not mean anything. Same thing when Abromivich was the owner at Chelsea. Same thing at ManU with Ronaldo right now. So don't be Naive. Owners tell coaches what to do base on market conditions. When they want to sell a player they don't want, the owners instruct the coaches to give him more minutes for a few weeks, the player does well, they pretty much showcase the player then they sell because they got the player price up. Good owners are closely involved in their clubs operations and play on the pitch.
