At first I wanted to write down the most important lines from this video, but than I realized that every single word of this masterpiece is absolutely spot on. So there you have it all in case you wanted to print it out and hang it on the wall (as I did). SPEAK YOUR BEING FORWARD! Your capacity for speech is divine. It’s a thing that generates order from chaos. Don’t underestimate the power of truth. There is nothing more powerful. Now in order to speak to what you might regard as a truth you have to let go of the outcome. You have to think: “Alright, I’m going to say what I think. Stupid as I am. Biased as I am. Ignorant as I am. I’m going to state what I think as clearly as I can and I’m going to live with the consequences no matter what they are.” That’s an element of faith. The idea is that nothing brings a better world into Being that stated truth. Now you might have to pay a price for that but that’s fine, you’re going to pay price for every bloody thing you do and every bloody thing you don’t do. You don’t get to choose to not pay the prize. You’re going to choose which poison you’re going to take. That’s it. If you’re going to stand up for something - stand up for your truth. It will shape you because people will respond and object and tell you why you’re a fool and biased moron and why you’re ignorant and then, if you listen to them, you’ll be just that much less like that the next time you say something. And if you do that for the five years, you’ll be so damn tough and articulate and able to communicate and withstand pressure, that you won’t even recognize yourself. And then you’ll be force to contend with. It is not safe to speak. And it never will be… But the thing you have to keep in mind that it’s even less safe not to speak. It’s a balance of risks. You wanna pay the price of being who you are and stating your mode of being in the world, or do you wanna pay the price for being a bloody serve - one that enslaved him- or herself. Well, that’s a major prize man. That thing unfolds over decades. You’ll just be a miserable worm at the end of about twenty years of that. No self- respect, No power, No ability to voice your opinions, Nothing left but resentment because everyone is against you, because of course you’ve never stood up for yourself. It’s like: Say what you think - carefully, pay attention to your words. It’s a price you wanna pay. If you’re willing to believe that truth is the cornerstone of society in the most real sense. If you’re willing to take that leap, then tell the truth and see what happens - And nothing better could possibly happen to you. There’ll be ups and down and there will be pushbacks and controversy and all of that, but it doesn’t matter. It’s like: Wake up, tell the truth, tell the truth! Or at least don’t lie. You know a thousand people - you are the center of network. People can’t talk, are afraid to talk or they don’t know what to say. And those are real problems. So if you’re reasonably articulate - Start talking and sharpen yourself up. If you’ll stand your ground and don’t apologize and articulate things properly, they’ll disperse around you like they’re not even there. Be afraid, but be afraid of a right thing. And right thing you should be afraid of is not saying what you say. Because that is the same as not being. And here you are, suffering away - you might as well be at the same time, at least than there is something to you. First: Let go of the outcome. Then pay attention to your words and how they make you feel. Stop lying to yourself and others, and be grateful for criticism you receive.

This is so incredibly spot on. There is a special catharsis in telling the truth in a clear and authentic way, without malice, with full clarity. He’s right. You will pay a price either way, I’d rather pay the price under the umbrella of the spoken truth. To me, the outcome is much more exciting!

I've been holding back, suppressing and pretending for 34years..I just woke up and I feel like I came to the end of this negative, drowning me down behaviour pattern, cycle, or whatever it is... I'm mentaly drained, tired and pissed of at myself..Ive learnt this in my family.. Talking or just trying to express anything was met with zero understanding, compassion, given space to communicate, with an anger, rejection and feelings of me hurting the other person... Then I wouldn't whole my life talking my truth.. Illnesses, depression, anxiety, addictions, obesity, overweight, no purpose in life, extreme low self esteem and zero self care were and are all the reflection of it. It feels like it's comming to its end.. I'm 34 and tired of this life.. Who's here to fight this and change it for yourself?

This is the best peice of advice you could ever take on. By living by this rule you live with the highest integrity as a human possible and that is probably the most important character trait you can possess. By telling the truth and being authentic you learn to let go of what others think of you because you put truth as the cornerstone of your life values . POWERFUL !!

That's the cool thing about living in truth: -There's nothing you have to hide or be ashamed of if you lived life with your best effort -You improve the quality of your relationships with other people by opening up, communicating how you really feel -You take a more active role in your life and finally realize your goals because you stop lying to yourself by saying you can't do it -You have higher self esteem and feel a lot less neurotic(insecure, worried, etc) The moment I committed to make it a habit to live in truth, I noticed it positively affected the people around me, and I've finally stopped spending copious amounts of time lazing around on my bed watching funny KZread vids and instead, tackled down my personal projects and learning goals (for the career I've wanted). I'm moving even more forward in life, and I owe it to living in truth, not lies.

Sometimes choosing silence is your truth. I agree with the notion of speaking your truth as a means of being completely yourself and not trying to hide. The point that we lie to not get in trouble is a good one, but the suggestion that you will regret not speaking your truth is also a threat. I am not suggesting lying, but sometimes not sharing everything is a centered choice. This speak your truth or else business is fear based. I would amend this to act your truth that could be speaking or remain silent, only you will know.

The truth is always in all of us, we just cant see it because we are to busy behaving the way we have been told is acceptable to society. This is very subtle and many of us go through life completely unaware that we are living like it. We dont want to stand out and risk rejection, failure, ridicule etc, and so we live our lives serving our 'beliefs' rather than our 'truth'. I was unconscious of this for 45 years, and then woke up to the reality of life.... and now i cant shut up speaking my truth 😅 Thats why i called my channel truth be with you. The truth is in you, you just cant see it..... yet 🙂🙏🏼

This was excellent. We genetically want to be socially accepted and admired. Any type of rejection hurts and causes damage (just read that in a study). If I'm going to speak my truth I have to be fortified - meaning I have to have a group of people who love and accept me and I have to be one with my Holy God inside. Otherwise it would just be an emotional slaughter.

  • @Theconsciouscrystal

Why would your fortification be the result of a group of people loving and accepting you? Pure fortification comes from truly loving and accepting yourself while also being open enough to finding the community that gifts you that in return. In my opinion.

Daxster I would say just research confidence building. There’s lots on it. Can’t think of a particular source to point you towards. Can also be useful to figure out what’s behind your lack of confidence. This can mean that, with increased awareness around it, it doesn’t drive you so blindly. Also, a general truism: do things that scare you. Take challenges, small at first, and then allow yourself to have a healthy dose of pride once you have successes. Best of luck!!

This is extremely applicable to me, This is exactly what I'm suffering with rn, I don't lie, I am on complete abstanance from lying, specially since I have converted to a believer from agnostic, started following religion, but am in a point and situation with family where I'm very oppressed, suppressed, by lying and cheating family, mainly my father, My main concern here in the family is to take care and protect my grandfather, whos very old and no one except me cares for him here.. I just want to take him and myself out of here But I'm so weak rn, in the heart, mind and spirit As I'm so blocked, none of my tasks big or small are getting done I could use lies and cheating to make things easier, like others, I hav the ability to manipulate and I used it in long past for some time..but no I wanna be right By God, but its the Satan who is winning My heart is and always has been for whats right, fair and true, but the lies liers and wrong is taking over everything in my life right now.. I'm still continuously striving to do the right thing, and not sin and I haven't and I wont, till I die, but I am in a state where I'm struggling so much that I'm wishing a lot for that day.. If you are a believer, could we pls collectively pray for the strength and victory of the good and right over bad and evil, specially in my life, where believe me Satan is dominant rn and has left me very weak and broken rn at the point of giving up

Otherwise it looks like you don’t have any videos uploaded/aren’t a real channel so if you want more subscribers/traffic I thought this might help! You're missing the point. It's not about the "absolute truth" that he's talking 'bout, but the "percieved truth" of an individual. For an example, if I think that all bugs are ugly, then I express that as my percieved truth and I say "all bugs are ugly" after which I suffer the consequences of saying that. One of such consequences could be, that someone would correct me in an attempt to educate me. Lets say that that someone says "Well, that's not true. Butterflies can be beautiful". And then I can learn from that. But what if I would never say that? I would never learn that "butterflies can be beautiful" in this very rough example I'm trying to make. This is what the whole video is about, expressing what you see as truth and learn what is wrong with it from others. And the point is that you're supposed to be learning what is WRONG with your percieved truth, not abandon it. You go out, you find people who disagree with you and YOU LEARN FROM THEM, not the people who you know will think the same way. You can become better as a person by learning what others think is wrong about you. But you can't just instantly abandon your own truth, you have to CAREFULLY mold and modify it.

This is why I quit the network marketing profession...Lying to others about how great the products are and how they have changed your life, how they helped you lose weigh when in fact you lost the weight before even starting on the products. And actually you didn't even take the products yourself... Its not worth the money... I have decided to go a different route and follow the truth, my calling...

People who tell lies I have noticed, will do anything to avoid being found out for having lied. If you have to avoid and try to hide the fact you’re lying, you know you’re being dishonest but do it anyway. Believing in self deception that no one will know you’re lying, but in actual fact people are aware you are. To me, all credibility is lost, for anyone who’s dishonest and arrogant enough not to respect me enough to be truthful.

@@teamatfort444 After the first week passed I would say I hit another round of I'm depressed fuck this life. I admit I did a somewhat poor job of documenting my mood changes, but my mood seemed to be a bit wild at times. maybe unrelated, but 2 weeks ago I cleaned the place up and I've actually kept it clean for 2 weeks including making my bed! or maybe it's related to me trying to at least stop hiding from my emotions. No more dishes piled up from a week ago! I've also journaled a little more than usual, but still not daily, but when I have it has been long and intense. I can't say other than a clean apartment I'm noticeably better off, but I can say in meditation and in prayer I'm at least not lying near as much and I'm being a bit more vocal about this is how I want things. Of course it's hard to do as I work retail and that means 8 hours of eating crap from everyone, but even there I've been a little less prone to tolerating customer BS. Or even today, I was trying to fully embrace my anger, and I realized, I don't know why, but something can trigger my rage and I'll flip out, but actually triggering it myself, even alone in the shower, was quite remarkably hard. I'm not sure if that answers "how's it going now" as to be honest I forgot I typed this, but I know I did make an attempt at following through with it. Anyway, there you go, my efforts from what I can recall about trying to be more honest with myself.

So you get to choose that whatever you say everyone else if the matter rests with them accepts the consequence? What if your not ready for the consequence but would be if allowed to prepare yourself? The truth is essential, lies are never good, however your truth effects you, some else's truth effects them. If we agree that as a social contract we are obligated to warn of potential danger, risk or threat to others as an ethical and moral choice, then what about whistle blowers? Julian Assange told the truth and warned us all of aborent practices going on that undermine the value of life and the limits placed on warfare. The US did not even deny the truth, they just went about targeting anyone who talks about it, while making the case that with this attitude they are responsible for inciting terrorism. If you know the person invading you goes after their own then they have no intention of solving anything diplomaticaly. We all lose, except the warmonger.

The "your" truth in the title is really bothering me. Can we change it to speak THE truth? There is no subjective truth. There is only one truth and this is the only truth worth pursuing.

  • @altnarrative

    @altnarrative

    2 жыл бұрын

No. The "your" is the whole point. We are not conduits of objective truth. *Especially* when we're communicating with others which is what JBP is talking about here. Maybe if we were all quantum physicists or speaking at a quantum level. But otherwise, all we have is our own truths. Some truths are more generally agreed upon, sure, but there are very few statements of objective truth that can be made outside of quantum physics. We humans don't even understand the nature of physical reality. Are we in a holographic universe? A simulation? These are prevailing quantum theories that no human knows the answer to.

"The truth, the whole truth, and nothing but the truth" There is something very deep in this sentence. It caries honor, justice, dignity, respect and (it feels like to me:) God in it. If the meaning of that sentence is violated, something fundamental is ignored. I understand that truth can be looked at differently by the individual. There are also different value systems between individuals or between groups. I understand that there is self deception that can twist anything, even the sacred. So there is the importance of the court, when the individual can express his opinion openly, before he is "prosecuted " or judged. We also have basic human rights that protects the individual from an unhealthy environment where the crowd want to forcefully suppress what they don't like. Still, if we want "life" work, the only chance is to try to aim towards: "The truth, the whole truth, and nothing but the truth" Because the rest is excuses.
