You can't take anything any reactionary says at face value.

I don't know if Peterson truly believes that most people support him because he teaches men responsibility or if he fails to realize that many on the right are promoting him to further their political and personal agendas. Fox "news," dailywire, Elon Musk, etc. As a clinical psychologist, he has some interesting ideas and helpful things to teach. But now he seems fully emersed into "owning the left."

@Plaid Populist What?? Plenty of people attempted to "engage" with him, he has been calling the Left evil collectivists and "cultural Marxists" since the moment anyone heard of him. He first made his reputation fearmongering about a law in Canada that didn't even said what he claimed it did, but it was a way for him to talk about the "creep of the insidious Leftist indoctrination on our society," which is exactly the same narrative as EVERY Conservative has had for the last 50 years. It's ALL built on the idea that the "undeserving rabble are subverting God's Natural Order and coming for our values / children / money / cultural hegemony," and it is the way that every bigot justifies endless Capitalistic greed, intimidation of dissent and "Western (white male Christian) Supremacy." You're right--there's nothing necessarily either wrong or Rightwing about criticizing gender theory. But this guy has never treated the Left with anything other than visceral contempt, so much so that he has delusions about what he thinks the Left believes, which are so horrible to him that he makes himself literally sob. It is true that Leftists and Liberals very much clash on policy goals, but how me a Liberal that is driven to uncontrollable crying in misery when they think about Leftwing ideals.

Ah, I see. The-anyone-understanding-Peterson-must-mean-one-is-a-right-winger-premisse doesn't work. Over and over again. Only proves the ones trying so hard are very louzy listeners. I didn't hear any real arguments from anyone that proves Peterson would be harming anyone.
