Thankfully most people understand that within Peterson's work is the acknowledgement that at the end of the day we all human with innumerable flaws and weaknesses, that life will throw horrible things at us; and that it's way easier to get through it all if you have the support of family, friends, and community. That should any of us fall down, that there can be a helping hand to bring you back up. Jordan has given so many people a helping hand without ever seeing their faces, and seems only right that the favor be returned when the opportunity arises no?
This man puts his reputation and life under scrutiny everytime and never shys away from anything. That's true courage and honesty.

“Should it not be a right to listen to you and say ‘I don’t believe a word you’ve just said’ “? “It’s your responsibility, it’s not just your right” Jordan Peterson is incredible.

You can have an HONEST conversation just by Saying what you mean, and Meaning What you SAY. It will REQUIRE thinking before you Speak. You will GET IN TROUBLE for TELLING the Truth. That is WHY you have to BE thinking of the CONSEQUENCES. By DEALING with TRUTH, your REWARD will be PEACE and IT BELONGS TO YOU. No more having to remember a lie.
I started tearing up at the end. I dont understand how people can be so hateful towards a man who is simply trying to help those in need and humanity as a whole. You can see how it hurts him, to see how much people are struggling. As a person who's dealt with a large amount of struggles (specifically with mental health) many of his comments have hit home and I can understand completely what he's saying. In my experience, I have seen two different sides of him. I briefly saw him giving solid advice for living a good life and it looked pretty sound to me. However, there is another side where he weighs in on religion and some philosophy. There are the discussions with Matt dillahunty and Sam Harris. I think there might be a tendency among people who already like Jordan Peterson to take his side or see the arguments that he is making as logical, but most of what he said in those debates come off as posturing and he does this thing where he tries to redefine already existing terms. For example, not in those two discussions, in another video where he is at the university that he taught, he is telling a student something like religion is whatever is important to you. So if sports are important to you, then sports are your religion. Of course we know that sports are not a religion. On the other hand we do use the word religion for non-religious things exactly as how he said, except the context of the discussion was about religion. So it seems like he adds this sophistry in order to either intentionally or unintentionally dodge the discussion. That's my early morning take on it. :-)

The fact that Dr Peterson is willing to allow himself become emotional in front of the entire world despite the mockery he gets for it by the people seeking to destroy him shows you exactly why he can be trusted. Those people who refuse to let themself be vulnerable and choose instead to become angry and irrational when challenged are the people you need to watch out for. Rather than be genuine and vulnerable, they throw insults and disrespect others. Its the purest demonstration of their malicious intentions. They want to be seen as powerful, while demonstrating their weakness. Peterson shows his weakness, and it makes him powerful

Hearing his fragile tone when Piers gets to the Olivia Wilde comment is nearly heartbreaking and provides perspective that I know I personally miss too often. To dismiss a man and the people that are being helped and portray him as some villain, some evil or worthless being is sad and cruel. Dr. Peterson's knowledge at age 5 would have changed my life. As a boy of 5 going on 20 real fast, nobody was there to help me understand. It was not until the unimaginable happened at the real age of 21. When all hope for a good life was gone, I finally received help. Now 45, life will still never be what it could have been. If I had Dr Peterson 40 yrs ago.
What an incredible and moving interview ! In recent years, I 've found with Jordan Peterson the right questions i could not find myself. A lot of the answers are left open, but those questions , if they do not help to change my behavior yet, at least, they help me to fix some goals to change spiritually and to contribute to my community. What a pathetic world we live in, they brought this most intellectual, empathetic soul to tears.. I feel for him, 99% of the world will never understand him they dont have the intellectual capacity.
I think that moment when he got emotional & that speech from Rambo are so profound. I think men are so starving for being accepted and validated. For their father, basically, to tell them that they are loved and valuable. There is not enough of that message and I think it's one of THE main reasons that there's so much wrong in the world.

Seeing the amount of following this man has proves to me there's still more than enough people who want justice and REAL equality. Jordan Peterson is able to bring forward this view in perfect wording which no one else can do the same and with the same effectiveness. This is one of your most beautiful interviews you’ve ever done Piers. I absolutely loved your poise and Jordan Peterson is an absolute gift to all of us. I hope lost young men can find comfort and guidance in Dr. Peterson’s words. ❤
I have so much respect for this man. To watch him get emotional towards the end just reinforces my belief in how much he cares. Piers' flippant remark about "incels" was poorly judged and showed how much he's influenced by pop culture. "Incel" means involuntary celibate. A growing group of men who have been ignored by modern women because they aren't tall enough, good-looking enough, rich enough, confident enough, or social ranked enough. Jordan recognises how dejected that can make men feel and the depression that will come from that. He also understands that if left unchecked, it will be very dangerous. If you have a large enough group of young men and you take away their very reason for existence, then violent revolution is inevitable.
Piers really reaches out about a traumatic time in his life and career and it shows that he wanted advice from Jordan, and he really listened . He wasn’t just waiting to ask the next question. A very educated and insightful conversation.

It's an incredibly crushing weight to have the thought's he's having in that moment. The knowledge about a very real reality that happens every day: That people abandon their lives, not only because they've been abandoned; but because they're actively being called worthless or a straight up detriment to everyone around them, and that the requirement to save these people is just the tiniest gesture of kindness. There's so many people dying of emotional starvation, and what do you see? People who claim to be caring and empathetic spitting upon them. Salt upon the proverbial wound. I think Peterson views what he does as a powerful blessing and a curse, to know that he's saved so many people by doing so little for them. Saving people that he's never met, not knowing a single thing about them; yet they come to him and thank him for their lives. It's a devastating realization to think about how many people slip through the cracks, which these days are more like impassable chasms. He's been trying so hard to put into words the horrible state of things for young people, and it simply might be impossible to do so; because you'd need so much time to unpack all the lines of attack on people's minds, hearts, and souls. It can't be summed up with "Oh it's just social media" or "Oh it's just politics" or "Oh it's just the culture war" or "It's just economics" because there's so many factors at play that have devastated multiple generations of people. That if the smartest people in society today can't describe and deconstruct the problem, then what hope do the people living it have?

While others may think that hero’s are actually just harmless (which to me, in this context, I relate to being pure), like rabbits. All they can do is just run around get eaten, they can’t be virtuous. That what I meant. Peterson isn’t a harmless man, he’s honestly quite dangerous and powerful of a man. But he uses that power for what he believes is good, and what is true. Which I absolutely admire about him.

@@rayedgar1992 But also your definition is something I massively agree with as well!!! Hah!!
One of the character to whom I appreciate and feel lucky myself and my generation to live with in the same century and listen not from the written history. It seems always like so many geniuses were in the past, but thanks for this man for sure. Good to know
This was a top interview, enjoyed it very much, long time since I've seen an interview at this level, thank you very much.
What a masterfully conducted interview. Agree or disagree with their opinions, but Piers really did his job correctly. No sniping, no useless confrontational interruptions, no BS. Just good questions and good ears. Much respect Piers.

Excellent observation. This is so important and i wish (regardless of what your political views) people would be able to comprehend the deeper understanding this has to offer. We really need more people like this and I'm so happy we have him right now. lets work on how we can better ourselves together. lets stop making fun and attacking others. Lets be mature and grow. Happiness.

@@plasterdesaster I just think people should be weary of would be oracles, it's amazing how many youtube comments on his videos portray him as being a kind of saviour, the father figure they never had. He was old and 'mature' enough to not turn to drugs when his life got bad. And like like most ex addicts he has embraced the higher power/religious fantasy.

Very surprising for Piers Morgan. Now if he could do the same with someone with opposing views that would be good.
