Actual news journalists could learn a lot from Jordan Klepper. Preparation, anticipation, a readiness to ask the followup questions that are just screaming to be asked. Too many reporters don’t do that. Too many will just “leave it there” without pressing for details and explanations. Too many ask what people believe and not why the believe it. If a comedian like Klepper can do it (and somehow stay sane), so can actual journalists.

Actually you can tell by all the jump cuts that what you are seeing is a series of highly edited clips that pick out the worst responses from the worst people he interviewed. Each of those people probably made some great points but Klepper is such a hack that he'd rather present the American public with manufactured straw men.

Two of my favorite thinking people today - Psaki and Klepper - thank you both!

But when they see Trump in the dock, faced with the Big Lie and unable to explain it - I believe most of MAGA will turn away from him. What will the GOP do at that stage? If Jordan Klepper ever walks up to you with a mic and starts asking you friendly questions, you should just look into the camera and apologize for whatever you did, even if you dont know it. Klepper is like the mvp of comedy and reporters. He deserves to take the helm of daily show, but hes also the best guy in the field. I wish the guy had a protégé for when he takes over the show.

I live in one of the most purple counties, in one of the most purple states in the U.S. Sauk County, Wisconsin. Every election out of some 50, 70k people. The elections are always decided by about less than 100 or so people going back decades. And I'll tell you this... people on both sides aren't far a part on issues. They both want the same things ultimately. It's the getting there part that is the problem. The biggest issue is all of these echo chambers... Fox News does it, MSNBC, therefore, does it. They all do it. And when you're in an echo chamber, all it does is validate your own beliefs. Because it's all you hear... many times over. We all know people on the right are wrong and afraid. But ultimately they do have the same values. They do care about the same things. They just see certain people attaining it for them though. And that's the problem, because those people lie, and they break things down to its lowest common denominator, and find people to target and destroy. If you forced people into conversation, and made them get to know each other. We wouldn't have these problems. It's the fact we can just pick two sides and that's it. That is the problem. And these mother -uckers in media and corporations and government are behind it all. Divide and conquer. Never forget Germany was one of the friendliest places to the Jewish community before WWII and Hitler. It van happen to anybody if you're desperate enough... and right now people are desperate fighting for crumbs.

I've loved the weeks that Klepper and Roy Wood Jr have hosted TDS. It'd be great if they took it over. And Psaki... I could listen to her all day. I love her passion and insightfulness.

His personality and interpersonal energy is very non-threatening when he engages people and it gives them the opportunity to speak their mind. Although their minds are mostly dormant. JK tries to prod their minds into some kind of rational engagement. But we never sense him judging, and that's why he keeps getting these interviews. He's chill.

Definitely looking forward to Jordan Klepper hosting the Daily Show. He has such a delightful dry sense of humor

Jordan Klepper and Jen Psaki are real superstars and national treasures.

Hearing how he preps explains why he’s so good at what he does. I hope next week is his debut week as the new host of the Daily Show.

They aren't embarrassed. They feel entirely justified to be racist misogynistic bigots and they are proud of their ignorance.

The only issue I have with Klepper is he shows how little chance we have for Conservatives to ever being able to think rationally and humanely!
