I think no matter how many WORLD championships these guys have their Olympic gold medals are what means the most to them! An Olympic gold medalist like Burroughs, Sanderson, Snyder and Taylor is an elite group! These guys are MACHINES!!! To win an Olympic gold medal in such a truly tough sport takes a true warrior!

distance runners don't usually decline until 35 or later. I think the reason there's not many older wrestlers before now is, at least in the US, there wasn't much money in it. Social media and licensing rights, as well as using social media to draw people to practice centers has made it a lot easier to keep going. I think Dake and Taylor will be around a while longer, too. Snyder, too, if nobody challenges him....and Cox. Hard to think of anyone at 74 and higher who won't stay around.

There are no ties and no overtime in UWW wrestling. In the event of a tied score, someone will always have the advantage. That line indicates who the winner will be if the match ended with that score.

as a casual viewer, can someone field to me, what's the logic in stopping the actions at about 5:10? he has his man down and blue is trying to defend but red seems like he could manage to turn him. but after a few seconds, it's whistled off and they re-start

it's because once they're on the ground the one on the offensive only has 10 seconds to score a point on the defending player until the ref calls the whistle and they have to go back to neutral

For those wondering about what is it that being chanted by the Iranians in the stadium. They are calling out the name of the wrestler champ that was executed by regime occupier of Iran. So they are not encouraging these Iranian wrestler as they failed to make any public statement regarding the killing of 700 people out of which 120 of them were children under the age of 9.
