Because even at that altitude (or height above mean sea level) the air density is still sufficient enough for oxygen rich air to be inhaled by him. Air which can provide for a healthy enough supply of oxygen to the brain and the rest of the circulatory system and which won't bring about a disabling hypoxic effects or related condition on him and on other inmates. Because they consider him to be such a "high" end or "high" profile prisoner, perhaps they thought about progressively moving him and inmates like him to detention or prison facilities further up on higher ground. This way they could consider themselves to be on a higher plane and elevated in relation to the lower, riff raff inmates. My thoughts are that if they were able to find a site suitable enough to build a complex on (at around 20,000 feet pressure height) they might just be able to solve quite a few problems in relation to overall operating costs for most of their prisoners. However, it's clear that there just isn't enough higher ground to build on.

The seriousness of the crime and the length of the statute of limitations really shouldn't have anything to do with each other. The limitation exists to protect all of us. It is difficult to defend yourself against a false accusation from so long ago because you won't be able to remember where you were, establish an alibi, or obtain any security video. Also, any memories from that time will be highly distorted and should not be relied on. Me and my brother sometimes talk about events from our childhood and find that we remember it totally differently.

I can't believe that no-one has been able to waste that POS. If that had been my daughter , his trip to Alabama would had been his last trip anywhere, even if it cost me my very life. The Holloway family had to deal with their nightmare for far too long, God bless them all.
