Just a tip, Kevin, get a plastic milk crate to put your propane tank into. It will keep it from rolling around and can be bungeed to the sides of the van if ya want. It also makes it easier to carry around. Have fun and stay safe.

Cool shower system. I’ve seen the sink portion but I’ve never seen the shower work. One idea is get one of those cheap bath mats that you can stand on while showering and then roll it up when you’re done. And thanks for the shout out. LOL! See you soon!

That's a great set up & the magnet is helpful. If the water is cold it's a quick shower, so that saves water. 🥶😁

During my first field season we used shower tents. Those solar shower bags work really well after a few hours in the sun, if you don’t want to use propane. We’d leave them out while we were at site, and then have hot showers in the afternoon.

So may unique items have out for campers and van travelers. It's fantastic that you live this life with your animals, keep the faith and stay safe.. As an Indigenious Native from Arizona we do have places to see which I am sure you may know about. Thanks for your updates and sharing.

You could store water on a frame on top of the van so that it is continually exposed to sunlight. Just use the propane in winter unless you can access public baths. Also you could look for a potting tray or one of those polyethyline flex buckets that would be big enough to stand in. If you collected shower water it could be used for cleaning something else down. Also if you needed privacy you could buy a windbreak that can easily be rolled up and stored. You can also buy a manual washing machine and if you find a place that gives you access to fresh water or even a stream you can rinse your laundry just fine. Maybe attach it to the inside of a back door.

Everyone here has such great ideas!! I Love that about this community. I like the idea of getting a spotting scope from a pawn shop. I don’t know about using the shower out there for the doggies. Kevin is the tub big enough to stand in? If so, it might be used for that purpose to have your shower. It would stop splash back of dirt etc and you feet wouldn't get muddy either. You'd just need some sort of mat to step out onto to dry yourself off. Just a thought....

I like your shower unit better then the one I use when I primitive camp. Mine is a 2 1/2 gal bag gravity shower and if it is cold I just go to a truck stop and use there showers.

For your next van, you could try to find or build a small water tank to fit around your wheel well with a drain and fill plug out the back door. 😀

Lol I am guessing you didn't shave your legs in that shower. You guys have it made, you can "go" standing up, you don't need to worry about your legs etc. In all seriousness, that must be really hard for a girl who is doing the van life. My advice is check out other youtube videos for shower ideas that people have posted who also live out of a van or other place. How would you shower if its not in a remote area? Looks like other campers behind you. I find showering in boxers or anything not the same.

Kevin, did you take a submarine shower, or a full water shower? The milk crate is an excellent idea. I use one all the time for propane, or gas cans. Plus a indoor/outdoor mat to stand on. Do you have a screen for when folks are a bit closer? 👀
