I have been a distant Catholic, not attending mass or praying anymore. Separate from my God. Because of the Chosen, I have renewed my faith, gone to confession, praying and crying and reconnecting with Christ Jesus and feeling so blessed to be back. Trying to live a holy life, as God asks me to. Bless you young Jonathan. When I count my blessings, I count you twice.

I absolutely love Jonathan's portrayal as Jesus!

I'm glad Jonathan realizes he is CHOSEN!!! So sweet, so humble.

A few weeks after my father passed away, I was having a difficult time dealing with the fact that the last conversation that we had was an argument. I was listening to this video, and of all the names that you could have used in the example of the woman who came up to you for comfort and a sign that things would be ok, you used my name. I cannot tell you how much comfort that "sign" gave me. God is Good Thank you for sharing this story.

The first time I had ever heard about the ministry of presence, I was working at a home for pregnant women in Phoenix, AZ. I learned that in those moments when someone is in need of attention and compassion, God is calling us to act in His Stead and demonstrate to that person that they matter. That what they are going through matters and the best thing that we can offer them in those moments is our full and undivided attention. It was a powerful lesson that I have not forgotten and was gently reminded of listening to Mr. Roumie. God bless you and the St. Paul Center.

Ah, I learned of this reading Mother Teresa’s books, and actually from someone I was engaged to. He said he always strove to be present with whomever he was with. In the former, it was a true godly blessing. In the latter, he admitted to me that that was how he had hidden his extramarital affair before he repented. Let us be like you state- the hands, feet and mouth of Christ, His heart. 🙏🏼📖🕊💝

Truly, Jonathan, we should all know that in our own simple kindness to others will lead the Holy Spirit to lighten up burdens of others.

I surfed with a young man that looked like Johnathan. He was deaf. We never spoke but communicated with smiles as we traded waves. At one point he look to the sky, blew a kiss and then brought his hands together in prayer. It was a wonderful surf and profound for me. A sign.

@@LeirbagFR Am a Catholic and am not aware that Catholics worship idols. We do use images for religious purposes but we certainly do not worship them. God never forbade correct use of religious images. Here are some biblical examples of religious use of images. Read: Numbers 21:8 The LORD said to Moses, "Make a snake and put it up on a pole; anyone who is bitten can look at it and live." So Moses made a bronze snake and put it up on a pole. Then when anyone was bitten by a snake and looked at the bronze snake, he lived. Exodus 25:18-19, God speaking to Moses again says, " And you shall make two cherubim of gold; of hammered work shall you make them, on the two ends of the mercy seat. Make one cherub on the one end, and one cherub on the other end. Of one piece with the mercy seat shall you make the cherubim on its two ends." That Catholics worship idols is a misconception. One can not know this truth without reading what the Catholic church actually teaches. We only worship the one true God in the consubstantial persons of the Holy Trinity. Meanwhile idols are not necessarily images but anything that makes us focus our energies on any thing other than God especially excessive love or misuse of things of this world which make us turn away from God like love for power, self, money, sex etc. Those are the idols many men and women are guilty of worshipping.

Kind of odd how that works. I too feel like I've been reading the bible & I do sometimes read along certain passages with the show, I just feel His presence. Like where is says when there are two or more of you speaking about Him, there are angels present, well I think watching the show is very close to this.

The Chosen has helped me through an awful time. I lost my daughter in Dec and I was so angry with God. These actors portrayals on the Chosen helped me to see that Jesus is real and present and understands all our sadness and faults. Such a wonderful show ❤

God bless Jonathan and protect him in his career.

What an amazing person Jonathan is. Blessings to you and what you do for gods work and Jesus. Such an anointing over him. Holy spirit 💞

So proud to have this man to play Jesus when it could've been anyone. One CANNOT play Jesus and be aloof about him.

I am sooo happy he is not one of those actors who says: "it's just my job or an acting part"- He understands it is a calling to him and those watching to change. I hope he continues to grow in his Catholic Faith- we need more men to stand up against the evils that are happening in our Church. However, "the gates of hell shall not prevail against it”-the One., Holy, Catholic, Apostolic Church- even if we are reduced to a few.

He Needs our prayers... It's not that easy To Play the Role of Jesus. It's Both Spiritually and Mentally and Bodily Very Hard... Pray That He stands Firme. Cause this is going to be a Very Long Journey... Even Lord Jesus Was Tempted , How much More Jonathan needs our prayer Support.

I am so thoroughly convinced that God Himself chose this WONDERFUL actor to portray His son Jesus at this specific time in the universe. God chose a holy, spiritual man. Humble, compassionate, caring and responsive to the presence of the Holy Spirit. Thank you Jonathan for being a willing vessel in which God can use for His Devine will. I love how he used the voice he speaks in as Jesus when he quoted Jesus speaking the Gospel! Amazing actor and amazing human!

This made me cry~ his humility, HIS blessing......

I have no words to say thank you and by this moving true story about yourself you have drawn millions of non believers to start believing in a God who is ready to embrace them as He has been doing from the beginning of His life on this world that is the only answer to all crisis He will solve. LET US PLACE FAITH IN THE ALMIGHTY GOD ASK AND WE SHALL RECEIVE....THANK YOU JONATHAN ....BLESSED ADVENT AND CHRISTMAS.

I can tell he was nervous, but loved the reminder and the message...we ARE the vessels for the Holy Spirit to use for His purpose...and we ALL should be so able and willing!!...thanks, for sharing his speech!

What a wonderful event for everyone who attended the gala! Jonathan is undoubtedly a faithful servant to Our Lord and is clearly surrendering to God's will in order to bring more souls to Christ. I was blessed to meet Jonathan at Abbey Fest this past summer and Scott Hahn is absolutely correct: He is THE REAL DEAL! He reached thousands of people of all ages and backgrounds that day. Everyone who I've talked to that attended this event were changed in one way or another. The Holy Spirit was definitely present. Any chance Jonathan may be invited to speak at The Franciscan University of Steubenville? I think this would be an unbelievable life-changing experience for so many! I hail from Steubenville so The University holds a very special place in my heart.

Too much sin ,killings everywhere,political discourse,nations against nations,and so many other transgressions.May you continue to serve Our Lord in everything you do.Many of us are in constant prayer for you.

-Works salvation (through sacraments) -Infant baptism -purgatory -idolatry (bowing and praying to statues) -necromancy (praying to the dead) -Transubstantiation ... and many other things, but these are a few examples of the heretical teachings of the catholic church, which not only aren't supported by Scripture but most of them directly oppose what God has instructed. I encourage you to compare all things to God's Word (KJV) like a noble berean (Acts 17:11).

It was nice to see Jonathan Roumie as a regular guy. You kind of get caught up in the series he’s playing in and only see the character he’s playing . This series has really impacted his life and the lives of others . May God Bless him and all the actors and crew for safety and portion while they’re doing this series . This series has brought many people great joy and happiness to watch . We need this to help us stay focused on what’s important in life !
