Jonas Schoen-Philbert - Solo Piece for Basstrombone (2020)
Музыка
Full Version of "Piece for Solo Basstrombone", written for Maxine Troglauer in 2020 by the Berlin-based composer and saxophonist Jonas Schoen-Philbert.
Notes by the composer:
"Piece for solo bass trombone” strictly follows specific series of pitches that reoccur throughout the piece in different variations.
Other main ingredients are multiphonics, slaptones and clicks with a piece of metal on the trombone body. There are three sections in different rhythmic gestures (freely, floating, steady pulse) that are meant to represent a rather dark, sad and then later a groovy yet somehow breathless tension.
This piece does not only challenge the performer with its virtuosic, technical passages, covering the whole range of the basstrombone but also with sustaining a suspenseful arc through-out the whole length of the piece.
This performance is a unique collaboration between the composer Jonas Schoen-Philbert and the german Basstrombonist Maxine Troglauer and is the second piece written by the composer for her."

Amazing! Wonderful! 👏👏👏
Amazing! 💪🏻👍🏻
that sounds amazing
you’re an amazing player , wow
Such an amazing player. Virtuosic. However the composition is kind of hard on the ear such as most modern stuff. Very dark and dissonating.
Your playing is AMAZING but this piece is third rate at best.
