@@probablyafrog3357 the basic threshold for pathology is suffering. Same behaviour but not debilitating for me. So yeah until I suffer technically it's not a pathological state. And it's hard to assess pathologies especially with comorbidities and overlaps. It might have been asd masking. In the last few months it was more intense and crossed over into more actions or contexts, it was more unpredictable and harder to "justify", or kept under control (sorry idk if it's clear. Eg obsession with cleanliness was usually just in the kitchen when I cooked. Then cleaning pots got more important, they had to be spotless. Then I started mopping the whole house twice a week. It might be a dumb example but like it escalates into being obsessed about parts of eg cleanliness that I never cared about, so that now it's exaggerated and takes all my time away and it's exhausting for no reason). So it did get worse recently, but I always have had compulsions and obsessions, and it does trainwreck my daily life. I am trapped in cycles of executing a schema of tasks I don't really want to do, like it drives me nuts to repeat it but it's the only way to cope with the situation, or I'm aware that it's a waste of time but I freeze in my tracks and keep doing it automatically, out of fear, and I do it to manage the fear even if it has no meaning or use for me practically. That's parts of ocd, parts of adhd, parts of addiction, and who knows what. In my case I need to figure out what's the root one i guess. So either I got worse, or I underestimated how bad it was at the time of the og comment. I wasn't trying to make fun of it or say it's not serious for people, my bad. But I probably still am ocd, I need some tests done

@@BarackObamaJediGiven that your frame here is exclusively self-diagnosis, you should probably just not talk about conditions in the context of "these are things I notice about myself." Pathology can't be adequately assessed or diagnosed by the patient, you will always necessarily modify your behavior within your framework of understanding. You can say you have obsessions or compulsions, but it's insufficient to have only obsessions or compulsions, many disorders carry these symptoms under a variety of different triggers. If these are things you actually feel are problems in your life, seek professional help for a diagnosis and treatment plan.

Why not spend it cleaning ? Saves you time afterwards. I also always wash things up right away after im done. It is SO nice that everything always are ready for use. I dont understand why people wait and gather things. Unless they have a washing machine clearly. Which is just waste of money compared to free for doing it instantly. It litterly only takes a few secounds cleaning something instantly. Plus it also cleans easier since it havent hardened (set iteself) yet. Plus the machine not always do it entirely clean.

Not going to lie, I will plan what and how I cook based upon how I know things will fit properly in the dishwasher.

My husband keeps asking me why people do what they do when we're watching films and sometimes I wonder if we're even watching the same film. It's very distracting. i can't possibly focus on two things at the same time. And the dishwasher, I'm not good at organized cleaning, or house chores in general, but the dishwasher is my domain. My husband seems to think that you fill a dishwasher in the same way as you put laundry in a washing machine.

I see he and I attract the same sort of woman, ones who use everything in the kitchen to cut an orange in half and also enjoys talking to you when your focused on something else. 🤔

I can't stand people talking while the TV is on, I'm like Jon, I like to study it so I can truly say I've watched it. Also my brain hurts if more than one person is talking at a time. I can't absorb either of them.

Wow. Finally somebody naming these crimes I experience every day. I have decided that all she can do is making coffee. I do the rest. She has other qualities. Like gardening. I have no green fingers. It is a shame though that it is me who has to free the terrace after she has gone her way.

After seeing his wife in numerous things, I can't work out if she really is that chaotic and thick or if it's all an act. But if she really is like she appears, I feel sorry for Jon. I love Jon, he's not changed since being married in terms of being a neat freak. He was just as obsessed with cleanliness and tidiness before he met Lucy. He is so write though, I have to tidy up as I go along when cooking. Can't stand it when the sides are piling up with things whilst cooking or baking.
