Reyes 100% won 3 rounds and easy to argue 4… even his 2 fights before Reyes he struggled and according to people like Joe rogan there is a case he lost those also but being the golden boy of ufc if you don’t sleep him then you won’t win on cards no matter how much you actually dominate the fight like Reyes did. Name me 3 actual accomplishments that are more than say what khabib did Don’t name wins against fighters that were way way past their hay day like it’s a accomplishment, (khabib was dominating the best fighters in his division (a much more competitive weight class than light heavy)light heavy Is know to be the least competitive since it’s been a thing, normally people to scared to fight heavyweights.)

Tbh I thought he was bad in those last few fights but the more I think about it the more I feel that yes he needs to be motivated. He had close fights with dc and Gustafson but the 2nd time he fought them he beat them within 2-3 rounds cos he was motivated. Even the Dominic Reyes fight, he knew he was in trouble and last two rounds walked him down. His 1st fight at HW was something new, something dangerous, so he went in a did the job . I don't think Jones needs to clear the heavyweight division in order to cement him as the GOAT. He is clearly the GOAT. He has been active for so long and has beaten champions after champions. If Jones retire right now, he will be considered the GOAT. The thing about this sports is, the longer you're active, higher the chance of you losing. One split second mistake and your lights can turn off and you'll be lying down flat on the canvas. The fact that Jones has been active for such a long time and have only fought the top guys is just mind blowing.

When it comes to the GOAT convo, it's either Jon or GSP. Maybe you can include prime Silva, DJ, and Gracie, but Jon and GSP's resumes are something else. Now, you can talk about Khabib, but he simply left too early and his level of competition was okay-ish. Jon fought killers after killers. So if you want to discount Jon because of his PED usage, then it's GSP.

A perfect record of a champion or high level fighter has factors to think about, level of competition, title fights and defences, an element of Luck cannot be ignored, if they are a fan favourite and have had many controversial decisions and many more.

Quite literally, Jon Jones is the best hand to hand fighter in world history. That is a big statement, but if you think about it: -He is the top fighter in the best fighting sport in the world, that is Mixed Martial Arts, in the best league of said sport called the UFC, and he is the top heavyweight which is the highest weight class that automatically beats the lower weight classes based on size.

yes hes the GOAT there is literally no valid argument at this point to counter. his outside antics should not factor in. GSP lost twice and got finished twice. also the resume is good but not a patch on jones Khabib maybe the most dominant fighter weve seen but he didn't end up fighting that many top 10 guys also didn't do it through generations and only 4 title defences. jon jones has defeated more former champions than khabib has fought top 10 guys Anderson if he had retired at the correct time would have been in the conversation but he has lost too many fights now to be in the conversation fedor unfortunately didnt do it in the ufc and has losses on his record jon accoplishments 15 title defences longest winning streak double champ youngest ever champion the most talented we have ever seen never dropped or rocked or had 10-8 round against him beat 3 generations of fighters the resume daniel cormier 2x former hw and lw champ shogan hua/former champ machida/ former champ rampage jackson/ former champ rashad evans /former champ glover texiera / former champ ryan bader / former champ chael sonnen / former champ vitor belfort / former champ gustafson x2 cyryl gane anthony smith dominick reyes brandon vera thats not even all of them, just off the top of my head his body of work has no equal

I don't see Jon fighting much longer and I don't blame him. He is at the point in his career where he only wants big names and their aren't many at heavyweight. I give him 2 more fights. That will be enough to really make that GOAT status untouchable. If he defends it once that's more than GSP when he moved up. Would have been perfect if it could have been Francis,Stipe, and Gane.

When a fighter makes it look easy, he wasn't tested, when a fighter gets tested or in a war he is getting old or the competition is starting to pass him by. Jone is going to have that Mayweather complex where he will make the legends look like rookies compared to himself. His IQ and ability are on another level and I don't see him ever truly being tested maybe pushed like in the past but no one will tested jones

Just because you have a war does not mean your too old or competition is too hard as we know MMA math doesn’t add up and if your still in your 20s there will definitely be a lot of room to improve and use your experience to work on the holes in your game

@@2ClutchCee I agree in a lot ways. Does it matter than Anderson Sliva stayed to long and fought well past his Prime. I don't think this diminished his achievements. GSP is a double champ which a big for his resume. It is a good debate who is the GOAT after Jones. GSP was never tested positive for PED like Anderson and even Jones if that matter to people.
