    He often talks in a way which is very real. Even when he's trash talking and saying that he will hurt his opponent really bad you can hear he really means it. This is one of his redeeming qualities imo, sometimes he speaks so genuinely

    He’s said this in other interviews too. The key to his high fight IQ in the octagon is to be completely relaxed, and the key to doing that, he says, is to visualize and internalize the worst case scenario until it becomes mundane. When the worst possible outcome doesn’t stress you, you free yourself to focus on everything else.

    Best mentality a fighter could have, optimistic yet realistic. It's why Jon has been on top for as long as he has. This may be the most hyped fight of all time, maybe in a few years after Ngannou is done collecting boxing paydays we will witness this once and for all.

Big time boxers want to cash in on that plus they will believe he is levels below their usual competition so they won't be afraid to take a circus fight that pays well. Everybody expects him to get outclassed by top boxers, it's about him getting the biggest payday of his career. No one will forget about him, he's still the UFC heavyweight champion because he never lost the belt. He can always go back to any MMA organization he wants afterwards because of his resume. Leaving was a smart financial decision for Ngannou.

    Jon's mentality is more of a warrior than a fighter. If you embrace the outcome of death and can still stare in it face then there is nothing you fear that is a dangerous mixture and Jon is all about it.

    This is probably the first time I’ve heard Jon say he believes that he can win a fight and it isn’t him just straight up telling word for word how he is going to destroy his opponent like he did to dc. Really shows how dangerous ngannou is to have that much respect from Jon.

    He never officially moved up or fought Francis this fight was suppose to happen 3 years ago when he claimed he could jump weight very next fight and beat Francis he didn't do that Izzy bumped up in weight and fought at light heavy and lost I think that made Jones hold off his choice for a good 3 years back then he said he would beat Francis now he realized how dangerous Francis truly is after heading down to arizona and sparring with heavyweights

    I’d say Colby Covington and Lyoto Machida are also both really intelligent. The thing is, Jones is intelligent AND, 1) is a sociopath, which is good for fighting, 2) is 6’4, 3) has a huge 84” reach, and 4) is insanely strong
