--------
Michael Jai White gave an analysis of the boxing match between Francis Ngannou and Anthony Joshua, explaining why Ngannou got knocked out. White said that Ngannou's inexperience showed and he began to block Joshua's blows more than he had done in previous fights, such as the one against Tyson Fury. The constant blocking was a clear sign to Joshua that he could land a straight, right punch. This defensive action consequently altered Ngannou's usual fighting posture, making him an easier target for Joshua and leading to his knockout. Although losing to Joshua, White believes a rematch with Tyson Fury for Ngannou isn't off the table. He also hinted that Joshua could potentially beat Fury, as Joshua's strengths and advantages could pose a new threat to Fury.

Obviously, Jai was explaining, the technical aspects of the fight, everyone who knows anything even remotely abt fights could see it coming, he was wide open, I was waiting on the knockout the moment I saw Francis straighten his arm.. One thing that White did not mention is that when Ngannou went southpaw, it allowed AJ to get his right hand in line with Ngannou's face. Usually in an orthodox stance, AJ would be lining up his lead foot to Ngannou's back foot. However, as soon as Ngannou went southpaw, all AJ had to do was put his lead foot slightly to the left so it was outside of Ngannou's lead foot. This made his right hand right in line with Ngannou's face.

@Hello, What really beat him is getting too confident after fighting Fury. He thought fighting any boxer would be easy. Fury only uses his size to win fights. Francis was big and skilled enough at grappling for Fury's size to effect him like it would most boxers. That's why Francis felt comfortable enough to go southpaw.. AJ is skilled though. He doesn't need size for a offensive. That's what Francis didn't understand. He paid the price for it too. It appeared to me that Francis had expected it to go like many boxing matches do where the first round or two sometimes more they are really just getting a feel for the distance and the timing, and Anthony Joshua looks like he expected that from Francis and said no sir we are on 100 after the first minute......80% of the boxing we see the hardest strikes don't land usually until the third or fourth round so I think Francis was expecting that......... This does not mean I think he was ever going to win......AJ was always a terrible matchup for Francis being a similar size but a bit leaner and faster compared to Tyson fury..... When your vibration is high you can perform better whatever you are doing when it is low you perform worse, when they say you are in the zone it means your vibration is high, this is because we are all at the subatomic level atoms which are energy which vibrate. We use phrases like ‘we are buzzing’ to describe when we feel good (high) and ‘down in the dumps’ when we feel bad (low). Ngannou was for some reason down in AJ fight (could have been arguing with his girlfriend) who knows but something affected him negatively and in the Fury fight he was less tense more relaxed ( less negative) so therefore in a better place. And I agree he shouldn’t have even been in there with either of them.

I’ve never been a massive AJ fanboy, but neither have I ever rated a Fury, who’s career came on the back of wins over an old champ and a one wild-punch wonder, with poor feet. That said… they’re big guys at the pinnacle of this generations HW division. There’s fractions between all the top 10 ranked pugilists. AJ with his revitalised hunger, confidence… or dare I say anger and ambition towards an eventual bout with Fury, is an opportunistic beast Luke will struggle with. Regardless of money or opportunity, I think Fury dodges that fight.
Thanks Mr White! So refreshing to hear someone logical talk about AJ. The Fury fanboys & alot of media hype, & fact Fury beat Wilder twice & Vlad years ago. Folks seem to think Fury easily beats Joshua. Fact is AJ started late at age 18. And fought 4 common opponents of Fury. Styles makes fights is real talk. Keep on keeping it 💯
Great analyzation. The thing the I saw was, It seems like Anthony's team knows that Francis like throwing the jab for no reason. So they just waited for him to throw the first jab and counter the second jab with a poweful punch. And it worked.
Tyson Fury didn't take the fight seriously. Anthony Joshua did .
AJ learnd alot after Ruiz an Usyk fights and advanced the most of them all. After Usyk he is probably the best. I would bet on him against Fury any time.

They wouldn't just let Francis come into boxing and dominate their sport. Watch the fight again in slow motion. Those punches never landed. He agreed to be paid 20 mil or plus to take a fake knockout punch.
The man knows what he's talking about unlike Vlad.
People overlooking AJ because of his fine face. That guy is dangerous.
The straight rights got him
i don’t know shit but I think the biggest difference is simply AJ had film on how FN boxed and his tendencies. Tyson went it blind having know idea and clearly underestimated FN
The fact that vlad has built this empire with absolutely bare minimum knowledge of sports is insane.
👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾
Fury didn't take that fight seriously that's the difference because Joshua needed the win

He claimed he hit ngannou with full weighted punches and they just bounced off him. I agree. His punch power is weaker than AJ's. Fury is not as formidable on the front foot as AJ.

Fury did a 10 week camp instead of 6,or 7 .He was more than ready for Ngannou, Ngannou was better even with 2years out of combat with injury on his 1st ever boxing outing..Quite a historically shocking feat..

@imperialkingdom4821 fury fanboy have to come up with pathetic excuses to justify his shortcomings. Bashed around by a man on his Debut.

You can block punching or slip punches, it depends on the fighter. George Foreman blocked punches. 🥊
Aj is half anunnaki, dats why. Everyone told me “francis’ chin takes elbows and knees” what happened? Homie got safari punched to sleep! I believe aj killed him, they just revived him. Did him dirty

Your mother was born a man
The difference was AJ knew the danger and was mentally ready. Fury wasn’t
You guys don't realise that BD is actually smiling throughout this entire interview 🤠😎
Fury just treated it for what it was. Just exhibition bout he couldn't be bothered with. AJ seen how he performed and treated it as a proper fight
Watching an actor judge the two best heavyweights of the last 10 years and justify a guy who has never boxed is incredibly funny😂😂😂😂😂😂😂 What a show this guy
The only way to counter that is to switch to south paw
There’s levels to boxing. As bad ass as Ngannou is, he had as much chance to win that fight as Vlad. You can’t just step into the ring against a champion level boxer, no matter what your fight skills are.

Like a boxer stepping into a Jujitsu tournament. At least Ngannou got paid for all the previous work he put in, he got to get paid twice.
If Joshua punched Ali, Ali will bite on the feints too. Power is power. The difference is Francis didn't have the technique or strategy to disrupt Joshua and have him second guessing himself
How xome in he's always interviewed by Vlad, are they neighbours?
Michael is an EXPERT and we all know that but he’s being VERY generous to his boy Francis. One of the first things a good boxing coach will tell you is to NEVER try and lead with a left hook. If you forget, it won’t take long in sparring to learn that painful lesson. Tyson was out of shape and playing games and Joshua wasn’t. Simple as that. Joshua stood tall and cut the ring off. Francis jumped at every faint in the world. He had no business in that ring and people need to stop disrespecting boxers. And I’m a Muay Thai guy.

I don't think the left hooks where the problem his timing was all over the place though , His ability to adjust was the issue. Watch the fight and see the first few left hooks from Ngannou land.....Not perfectly but they got there. Joshua then adjusts and changes his level height wise , Ngannou stops landing the left hooks and his whole game plan is done....

@@Jasontvnd9 those are good points. I defer to Demetrious Mighty Mouse Johnson who gave the best analysis of this fight. Being a much shorter heavyweight requires remarkable skill. Frazier and Tyson didn’t simply decide to go inside; they knew how to do it. Once Francis realized he couldn’t mitigate that long, strong jab; he begin to look for a way to hurt him and I think he looked for the left. For my eye, I agree with you completely and fully….until Francis panicked and started trying to hit a home run with the left hook. But yea…the disrespect from boxers is real. Timing. Angles. Bottom line is that you have to worry about so much in MMA that the subtleties of boxing sort of phase out at the highest level. Still important…just not as important.
He turned southpaw, got dropped, never recovered. Everything else beyond that is just diving into the weeds.
Michael is the same guy who said he could of beat Mike Tyson in he’s prime 😂😂😂😂🧢🧢🧢
Ngannou needs more time to grow
I wish he just say it was “FIXED”

Fury wouldnt let Joshua connect with him clean liike Ngannou did, he's too savvy for that.
The difference between the 2 fights was Mike wasn't Francis trainer vs Joshua.
Yep, as soon as I seen him bite, I went, "oh, Joshua bout to ko him..." U saw clear as day it was a set-up, maybe Francis got nervouse or, a little, too edgy? Couldn't believe he went for that, a few times, that was crazy but, reality so. \O>
Tell me........
And should had had Mike Tyson in his corner for sure. But Ngannou is a novice , he can stilll have a couple great fights. Ppl shitting on him don’t understand the difficulty changing sports like that. It’s pretty crazy he did that . All props to him .
I spoke to Vlad after this interview and he said every time Mike walks in a room he hears "DYNAMITE DYNAMITE." He doesn't know where its coming from and has spent a lot of money trying to figure it out but stil nothing. I think it's a mystery that will never be solved
I think Nganou needs to hire Lenox Lewis or George Foreman as a trainer either of them can help him win a lot of fights. I strongly believe if Lenox Lewis, or. Big George trains Nganou, he will beat Joshua in a rematch.

Possibly the dumbest comment in a sea of dumb comments. 1) Neither foreman or lewis need money , They have a net worth of $300 Million and $149 Million, 2) Lewis and Foreman have had very limited training experience and are not known for being particularly good at it. 3) Foreman is 75 years old and has been retired for decades from the sport. 4) Lennox Lewis is a great fighter but hes far too busy telling people how great he is to train someone else.
I think a few years ago it was pretty obvious that Joshua wasn’t on fury level… but as of today I don’t think we can say that anymore. Joshua has really improved and has stronger punching power than fury.. in my opinion fury is a better boxer when it comes to the sweet science of it but Joshua is the better puncher and right now I’d love to see that fight.
AJ vs Fury is and has always been the fight.
Ngannou's left guard was down straight away. AJ spotted that within the first 20 seconds and went for it at the right time. Simple as that really.
Joshua's on a higher level than fury he has shown that many times
