I am so glad that unlike so many of todays younger football fans i was lucky enough to watch prime Maradonna and Baresi and Van Basten and Ronaldo and Zidane and Romario and Cantonna players of that ILK who set the benchmark of what any pro footballer who is classed as being at elite level in the game should look like, what i have seen for around the past decade is absolutely pitiful, as soon as forwards started missing sitters after sitters, players passing so poor and ball control i knew the game was in the mud but along came social media and the PR machine went into overdrive and was able to create the illusion through overinflated player prices and wages that the current generation of footballers was of a high standard, the coaches in the game also have a lot to answer for they have turned players into ROBOTS and almost totally eradicated Dribbling out the game, its a complete mess and every time i watch todays footballers i always honestly feel i was a better player than majority of them, these players are so damn lucky that they are playing in todays era in past eras they would never ever make it any top club they be playing for relegation fodder, but the over all standard across all major sports is in the TOILET.
