It’s considered one of the best and most legendary performances in the francophone world. Johnny is the biggest french singer ever. He said he was shocked the first time he heard Lara and it was rare for him to feel this way.

When Johnny died in 2017, one million fans lined the Champs-Élysées in Paris as the cortege drove by. Can you imagine any other artist getting that kind of a loving farewell?

I would like to point out that during rehearsals Johnny Hallyday would have asked Lara Fabian to sing with all her power, he wanted her to shine because she was his guest. Confirmation from Lara Fabian herself this morning January 25, 2024 on the French channel “TF1” in the show “Bonjour la matinale” This is why Johnny Hallyday is below vocally. It was intentional on his part. Johnny Hallyday was very generous. Also note those who do not know or know very little about this singer Johnny Hallyday, he could easily rise very high too. Very big vocal power too. I wanted to provide a clarification that I had already known for a long time but now with proof for those who belittle or who do not know this great performer. I'll let you judge for yourself by listening to a few albums in their entirety: "Rivière Ouvre ton lit" from 69, "Flagrant délit" from 71, "Insolitudes" from 73, “Derrière l'amour” from 76 “Hallyday 84 Nashville en direct” "Rock'n'roll attitude" from 85, "Gang" from 86, "Cadillac" from 89, "Ça ne chanhe pas un homme" from 91, “Ce que je sais” from 98, “Sang pour sang” from 99, “A la vie à la mort” from 2002, “Ma vérité” from 2005, “L'attente” from 2012, “Rester vivant” from 2014, his last posthumous album “Mon pays c'est l'amour” from 2018.

Fantastic reaction to this open air spectacle. I understand this was Hallyday's sort of signature piece and that Fabian was the only female voice he ever invited to sing it with him. (Though I was shrieked at once for relating that by someone who didn't read or write English fluently, so who knows. 😳) The story of the piece is very much one of abusive man vows to kill his lover so no one else can have her and go out by suicide by cop . . .so not my fav. 🤣 With it made into a piece for two voices this way, at least it was a little more Bonnie & Clyde. I'm always incredibly impressed how Fabian can modulate her voice to give it such a different character depending on the needs of the character of the song, for instance I'll be back with a link to a duet she did with another French Canadian singer where she kept her voice sounding super light and girlish. It's really fascinating to me. Thanks again, man. 🖖🏽

hello, Johny Hallyday is dead now, and was a show master in France, rocky voice well known, and you add to him Lara Fabian with NO AUTOTUNES , just real singing, real singing, the magic of a real voice, a great singer with singing techniques mastered to perfection I have few things to say about this video. Some people can think the gestures are exaggerated. You have to put in context. This is a live concert in a stadium with 90 000 peoples, in a rainy day. You have to do this, so anyone can get the message.

Hi, please react to Mylène Farmer, she has been an icon in France for about 37 years. She has a lot of interesting and different songs, emotional songs, rock, pop, songs that move ... And she is the QUEEN for the intro. I advise you : - "Désenchantée" live 2009 at the Stade de France (her best song) - "ouverture + peut-être toi" live 2006 (this intro is very AMAZING!!) Thanks

It was during a show by Johhny Hallyday who was the absolute French male star (woman: Mylène Farmer)! In this duo, he does not fully deliver his vocal power to favor Lara Fabian who was his guest. Understand why he was nicknamed "The Boss" or "The Animal" ---> "Allumer le feu" (1998) kzread.info/dash/bejne/pWeDk7qrn5rVcaw.html
