she's just 21 years old here! and there are people who dare to say she doesn't sing with emotion!!!!!!!!!! she's unbelievable.... thank you... oh and yes, Celine has acted on a mini series once when she was 23 years old... then made some appearances as herself on some other TV series, did a little cameo in a Muppets movie, and finally she did her first movie last year (Love Again)...

It baffles me because Celine is credited as being one of the most emotive vocalist in the world!!! Certainly of the "Vocal Trinity", She's the only one who can bring me to tears!! She has the ability to make you feel every word she sings no matter the language! So...when ever I hear that critique I know it's based on bias only!

Surely there can't be many who say that. That is levelled more often at Streisand. Celine's emotion is what eventually got me to accept she was the superior singer overall.

In her early years she showed off her airy light tone a good deal. But she also had this raw energy and charisma - not quite a pop diva mold, but a brilliant storyteller.

I had heard of Céline but I had not really paid attention when we were both teens LoL but WOW my mind was blown! I saw that show at the st denis twice... and she got better... une bête de scène ! she LOVED being on stage you can tell.

Yes she has appearances on shows over the years but her recent acting was from her movie “LOVE AGAIN”.

Okay hear me out, and I know this is a little different than what you normally do, but I would LOVEEE to see your reaction to her Celine’s new documentary! Even if just a couple clips from some of the most dramatic moments / performances and your reaction afterwards, but knowing how much you love her and how much we love you for it, I would just love to see what you think! I see you are discovering more gems... I saw her shows at Theatre St Denis in Montreal when she sang this.... we were both kids but I could tell she had a special gift to offer. I would tell everyone within earshot that, if she was well managed, she would be the biggest star! You did not have to be a fortune teller to come to this conclusion... even in 1989 she sang an impressive array of genres and she delivered every time. I always compare Céline to NYC ... you walk around NYC and there are so many amazing buildings that you can sometimes forget to be impressed, then you start looking up and you go OH YEAH that is an awesome building... so is that one... and of many different genres. Céline has soooooooo many amazing songs in sooo many genres that is almost taken for granted until you start "looking" and then you go OH YEAH that is an awesome performance/ song/ interpretation. What an amazing musical time to have had growing up with the Trinity and also you had those other Canadian ladies Alanis Morisette, KD Lang, Jann Arden, Sarah McLaughlan, Shania Twain and Lara Fabian ( you can sorta see here why they compared Lara to Céline as this is more in the style of presentation Lara was known for if you think of Je suis Malade ). Glad you are doing more I hope your artistic soul is lifted as mine is (re) listening to these interpretations.
