I agree with Justin. 🙂 Too bad, though, that you couldn't have tacked on the surprise birthday party skit spoofing THIS IS YOUR LIFE! 🤣

Burt had what the majority of celebrities do not possess today. The ability to get up in front of a live audience and just talk, be riveting, and tell stories.

Burt Reynolds was always a great guest on Johnny Carson. Funny stories, quite a sense of humor & easy on the eyes. 😂 One of my favorites!! The best late night show ever.

Burt was extremely charismatic and talented. I remember my dad took me to see The Longest Yard and I never laughed so hard! That was until my brother and I went to see Smokey and The Bandit when it came out. It too was hilarious! Burt was a good man and underrated actor. He is missed!

Aw, the good old days when late night talk shows use to be about interviews and not personal opinion political commentary.

Burt Reynolds was one of the best interviews Johnny ever had on his show. He was such a great storyteller and funny. This is before the pie throwing episodes.

Burt was the epitome of laid back easy cool. Self aware, makes fun of himself, and naturally charismatic. Not a trace of ego, either.

Burt was definitely the greatest chat show entertainer in the world, audiaces and the public loved him,and rightly so,he was voted number 1 at the box office again 4 th time in a row, that must have been satisfying, for him,you can see how self assured he is,and their were some big competion at the box office that year,so yes he deserved his success,I just wish he hadn't turns down ,Terms of endearment,,Pretty women, and Diehard, all offerd to him,but he said no,he could of been no one for another ten years, what a loss, our loss, would of been great in those films,.oh well he had a great career,

Watch how @ 0:25 Carson slaps Reynolds cheek, like some macho Italian mob figure, and Reynolds dismissed it, leaving Carson all flustered, causing him to chin up and straighten his tie.
