Being aggressive is so easy that any big idiot can do it but I'd rather have dudes in my corner that understand when NOT to fight. It's better to take a small recoverable loss now than to die and lose everything.

Aurelio's men just stand there and watch as their boss gets his nuts kicked in. A good boss knows when to push back. Besides, Aurelio's men cant do anything unless he says. Just notice their position. If they were standing back, they'd be back a bit. But they were close enough to take old mates men if Aurelio gave the order.

Nah, Santino likely still knows he has John's marker. Santino also likely knew John was back during the events of 1. John literally tore apart an entire Russian gang over a car and dog. Santino would've respected John leaving the life for good the first time, but he would pull the mark card on John the second.

Yup, but it's not just that. It's that John's actions in the first movie allows for the High Table to move in. I love how the second movie and on, the High Table is this really gigantic group, rather than a secret underground organization that had to hide.

@@robjackson5245 The best place to hide a HUGE criminal network is in a place so high up that it's untouchable. Even the Continental does front as a legitimate hostel service for wealthy clients, which can also explain why business cannot be conducted on Continental grounds. It's really hard to explain to a civilian why someone just commit murder and the entire building isn't in lockdown. Also, when John went to Rome during the second movie, the Roman Continental's owner asked if John was there for the Pope. It puts into context just how high up the High Table really is, because you can't just casually ask if someone is in Rome to assassinate the Pope. The literal underground of the criminal underworld is ruled by the Bowery King, who seems to be defiant of the High Table when the Adjudicator rolled in and tried to convince the Bowery King to step down and let the High Table take over.

Whereas the second movie made it more out the wealthy criminals' activities more open and the whole thing with the door hiding their activities was done away by the second movie.

It’s always awesome to see deleted scenes since it’s natural we all crave more content in our favorite movie. But I can see why this scene was deleted. No purpose, no reason for this conflict

Aurelio made a great tactical decision....he made the fight personal....he looked at the guys that arrived and decided if im going to get hit....let it be by someone who looks like a twelve year old girl.... He still took punishment....but imagine if the boss had used his bodyguards first....mind you the kick proved just how bad 30 seconds would be if the bodyguards went too town.... We all understand that in the John Wick world....protected means certain rules apply....Aurelio responded to that threat and walked away with less scars....

this scene was definitely cut to not piss off ferarri 💀

What Santino solidified to this attack on Aurelio, he signed his own death warrant!! You know Aurelio told John about this interaction with Santino.

Everyone dogging Aurelio for not ducking the punch. Aurelio knew it was coming and just took it. Other wise there would have been consequences. He would have looked like a pussy if he gave the box just by asking him the first time.

@@tushargupta1968 I think the scene itself is fine, the only weird part that might not get past the chopping block is when Santino put a coin in his hand and punched Aurelio which was a quite a 'huh' moment. But the scene being in the movie would be realllly weird. Santino being there himself to collect pizzo from a relatively small establishment ruled under the table. Aurelio being singled out and beaten down by Santino might implied that the writer wanted this scene to emphasize how Santino was trying to hurt people who were close to John Wick. But I don't think the main idea went through at all. The scene seems just like it's about Santino bullying Aurelio to collect pizzo and leaving relatively peacefully considering his hatred for John Wick.

This chap 2 had some crazy ppl. Chap 1 they knew NOT to mess with John, they knew he was someone to not meddle with unless for lack of choice. Then in Chap 2, a bunch of idiots think they can mess his life, threaten him, and even try to kill him. Result: Any who tried any of those, is in a body bag.(except Gianna bodyguard, who John left alive for obvious reasons.) Most funny one was Santinos bodyguard, who REALLY thought she had a chance.

in the end he first speaks to him in Spanish, Aurelio's language, por eso no te mato that is, I won't kill you for this, and then in Italian, "fai il bravo eh" that is be good eh.

For the uninitiated, the dual clutch semi-automatic manual transmission is what killed the affordable starter cars made by the big three in the U.S. The idea was to take a manual transmission and efficiently shift gears automatically using software and driving algorithms. The problem was that these automatic gear shifts happened alot more than expected, and wore down the clutch destroying it. In a way, it's kind of a metaphor for the villain of this movie. His actions to plan and cut corners for efficiency ultimately lead to his downfall.

I think the idea is you owe a blood debt to the person who you gave the marker to. Telling on him and not killing his sister would be in violation of that marker and telling on him and still trying to kill her would be suicidal. *Spoilers ahead* The adherence to tradition is why John is allowed to demand the duel even though the High Table would prefer him dead.

Santino left Aurelio with no choice. He would have had his men killed. We already know this when John Wick refused to honor Santino's marker. Even the toughest guy is no match for heavily armed bodyguards with woven armor in their jackets and state of the art firepower. Not to mention Santino's family sits at the High Table. And as I recall, their former manager Vigo Tarasov met an "untimely fate". Santino could have easily had an Adjudicator show up and condemn all of Aurelio's men, and their entire operation with their "Emissaries". So either way Aurelio was screwed. So would anyone really blame Aurelio? The man has balls of iron, but he certainly isn't stupid. And he knows if John Wick is still alive, he will do what is necessary.

He swings exactly like someone who's never taken a swing in their life. John Leguizamo overacted that scene even if it had connected 100%. No wonder it was deleted. lol.

This scene makes me wonder what happens when the person being interrogated actually doesn't know what they're being asked about. It always happens where the good guy bluffs with "what do you mean?" and the bad guy just starts beating the shit out of them. Like, what if the guy would actually be willing to give up the information, but your cryptic ass just refuses to ask a straight question?

It actually shows how smart Aurelio is and how he taught his men to stand back and stay calm unless he says, the actor said they even had a fight scene that shows more of his character but they had to cut stuff from his character and at first he was mad about it but later understood how it wouldn’t of fit into the story. His character (from what is known) is well trained and known but ended up working at the shop as he was extremely good at engineering and mechanics. He also received the txt when John was excommunicated/ when Santino or Viggo put a contract on him. He is also a trained assassin and his men are trained but not much is known about his background etc

it's been a while I watched the movies, what was in the red boxes tho. what were they looking for?
