He’s an idiot a lot of the time though, that’s the problem. I love this character, but we can’t ignore his very apparent faults. Sam and Bucky lost my trust though. They never gave this guy a chance and continued to alienate him while he was trying to help. There’s a lot of fault on both sides.

Marvel really has gotten character writing down to a science. John Walker isn't Steve Rogers, heck he's not even close to Cap outside of using a shield as a weapon. But he's as relatable of a character as we've seen in the MCU in a LONG while. He truly endures and struggles with legacy, pressure, loss, emotion, and everything that normal people can relate to. Wyatt Russell did a heck of a job portraying him.

@@tungtran4168 Ehhh I would argue Walker acts more like a cop, and Steve acts more like a soldier. John walks in through complete force and doesn't usually yield. Steve gives ppl a chance to explain themselves, and only uses the amount of force needed to neutralize the threat. He did kill back in WW2. But that was a different fight. Steve is a soldier but one who walks his own path rather than one who follows orders from an establishment.

I like the way he walks down the stairs at 0:40 with the little head bob, and he's just like, "yeah I just did that, I got the serum".

I love the character of John Walker. He was a military hero, never took the easy way out, tried to counter his PTSD through hard work, but he could never escape the fact that he will never be Steve Rogers. And he can't cope with the fact that the world has changed from the cliche of "good vs. evil." A lot of military veterans can relate to the character. Despite your greatest efforts, you simply cannot please everyone.

Remind that his arm broke once and he still can pull the truck. How fcking strong man

John is Steve unhinged. John is the unrestrained version of Steve from Civil War. And, I adore Steve Rogers (Chris absolutely played the role pitch perfect). But, he's an ideal not very realistic. @Dmarcus Pineda Captain America was too fast for John Walker as John didn’t land a single hit and Cap landed too many which is why his hands hurted after that, also the fight ended as soon as Cap acknowledged that. In their second fight in Avengers 1998, Cap straight up dominated John Walker completely over powering him. Walker has only ever given Cap one good fight.

John walker is every combat veteran's experience in afghanistan for the last 20 years.

John Walker was the best part of this show. Loved every scene he was in

The potential of this new character is insane, Marvel better not be stupid and know how to exploit it to the max

I love him as the best actor for this series.

The fact that they hate John walker for killing someone but when Falcon did it its fine kinda triggers me. Do you think its ok when falcon toss those guys in the air and they will not die falling down? Hypocrites everywhere in MCU

He became one of my favorites mcu characters ever. I love him and now I'm eagerly waiting to see him in Thunderbolts 🔥🔥

I loved his and Bucky's dynamic. Hope to see them interact more in the future

To be honest John walker's captain america was the only reason I got interested in this show. He kind of reminds me more of the comic book captain america and the captain america from the avengers earth's mightiest heroes show. The other captain america didn't really remind me of either ones. But I do think that John walker's character needs to grow a lot more, and I think they could do that if they ever have him in a movie, or continue the series. But since it seems like the series is more about falcon, and since most people don't like John walker, I don't think either of those things will happen. But at least we got this version of captain america, which some may not like, but I found him to be a very good captain america in my opinion of course.

GSTE he is NOTHING like neither comic cap or Earth's Mightiest Heroes Cap. Unless you are talking about the Skrull version of him then sure, he is definitely like the Skrull version.

Why? Even John didn't have SSS back then. And Sam struggled so much with the shield initially unlike John.

He is my favorite in the MCU after iron man and black panther

been a while since i watched the show, but the more I look back at John walker using the shield, its pretty impressive for someone with no serum.

Props to the MCU. ANYTIME a super soldier is on screen they steal the show with that smooth movement. They really sell how dangerous it would be if the serum became widespread

The difference between Steve and John is that Steve uses the shield mostly as defense and never sees it as a weapon. He mostly hold back during the fight because the shield used to protect not hurting other people and rarely ever use it to people. While John is not, he let it out with everything. He didn't see the shield as a symbol of protection, he use it as full offense almost all the time.

Cap used his shield as a weapon many many times throughout his movies. The only diff I see is that Cap usually fights regular people with guns so he has to be more defensive at times, whereas John is almost exclusively fighting super soldiers that primarily use melee weapons so he can fight more offensively.

Something tells me that you haven't watched most captain America films! Blah blah this and that, he used to throw it at his enemies A LOT. If anything, he uses it more as a utility more than both offense and defense.

Dude carried the show. Not a big fan of the plot of some of these phase 4 stuff, but the new actors portraying these new characters are killing it. Excited to see how they fit in in the big picture. Stand outs for me were John Walker, Yelena and Kate Bishop

I would like to see more of him on upcoming mcu movies or series.

I love how the show did not bury John Walker but gave him a lot of redemptive qualities, while still showing there can be only one Steve Rogers.

This guy is intense.

After seeing John in episode 6, I like him (never did hate him, only his arrogant and unstable personality)

I would say Bucky and Sam acted more arrogant towards Walker than Walker himself He wanted to work with them had Bucky avoid incarceration but they were like just because you have the shield doesn't give you the right to be captain America 🙄

The fight scenes are so much choppy in episodes 5 n 6....but still he is the greatest win in this series

@Sivaguhan Jegatheeswaran No I’m just saying, in a DCEU fight scene you can actually feel what’s happening. There is actual creativity in a fight scene. As much as I despise Batman V. Superman that one fight scene in the warehouse is really really good, because it has actual creativity, like for example, they use Batman’s cape against him, that would never happen in a marvel movie because Marvel fight scene are just one character doing karate at another character doing karate with shaky cam.
