Yet they don't act like one body. If Protestants don't have any major objections to Catholicism (which they won't if they look at it closely) they should return to Mother Church IMO.

I was raised a Catholic & attended mass every Sunday until I was 21. I married a Baptist, & was told I was living in sin. So, I thought why bother going to church thinking Jesus no longer accepted me. Did not go for 26 yrs. My 1st husband passed on, & I remarried a Catholic, but because of all I was hearing about the abuses caused by priests, that really turned me off of going back to church. I started just last week listening to your teachings, & I think it was Jesus who actually led me to you. I am now ready to rejoin my fellow Catholics & pray together The one thing I really missed was receiving Holy Communion. May God Bless you & keep you with us for a long time. With all my heart & soul I thank The Lord for meeting you.

Welcome Home, suzyq1948! Some of us wander away and take a long time to come back...I was away for 30 years, but I always searched for God. The world hates the Church because for now, Satan rules the earth. Abuse of children happens throughout society but you never hear about Baptist preachers or Lutheran, etc. abuse now do you? Only Catholic priests are targeted. I am so thankful that you are coming back, you will find the peace that has been missing in your life. That first confession will be scary but freeing, and you will be able to receive Jesus once again. You will be in my prayers!

dovie2blue Thank you very much for your wonderful comment. I confessed my sins a long time ago, & kept asking Jesus for His forgiveness. Since there is no confession at my church (only a general one where we ask through our thoughts then the priest blesses all of us), I still did not feel I had absolution. So, one day, I was 51, I asked Jesus to make me suffer for my sins (I was thinking maybe a really bad flu.. I now realize that you have to watch what you ask for, you will get it, but in God's way, not ours..GOSH I WAS SOOOO DUMB. I suffered through many, many hardships, but asked Jesus that I really, really feel He gave me absolution. On January 1, 2012, I asked Jesus if this is going to be my last year on earth, could I have a good year (with all that talk about 2012, Dec 21..). Well since then, it's been really good, & it's still good. I realized that they do not tell of the sins committed by protestant ministers, only of the Catholic priests, because (especially Baptists) of their hatred for us. I read one time that there are (or were) 11,000 priests just in Canada alone (probably has gone way down now, because too many are seeking material things, or always trying to change their looks, body, love of money, etc., than taking care of their soul, so it is safe to say that there will be a few bad apples in there. We don't have to be Catholic to go to Heaven, but only Love God (our Father) & believe in Jesus, our Savior, & love one another. Boy, it's so simple, yet too many people make it complicated with their petty bickering about which one is the true church. We all know it's the Catholic Church! This Church will fall one day, because I see so many Churches closing & being torn down to make high-rise apts.

ive had problems most of my life fitting into different churches. i went to full gospel churches for years and I believed in a lot of what they taught, However I had bipolar illness and suffered from clinical depression. i was rejected a lot and told I was demon possessed. People would go up to the alter for prayer for physical healing but if you had mental problems they would try to either cast demons out of you or tell you you didnt have enough faith. I looked around for years and finally found a church where I am loved and supported and i can help others too. its wonderful to have Godly friends. Those other churches i went to seem to have the spirit of god and the gifts but they lacked in loving people.

There are so many of us Christians wandering in the desert like Moses and the Jews after Exodus. My testimony is every church I attended, always trying to make me change to fit in. I walk away when I don't see the love for anyone as a child of God. The denominations are always divided by doctrines, when we all believe in Jesus. I saw you play Guitar John Michael at the Agape in Chattanooga Tennessee in 1976. Just before you became Catholic. I saw how God gave you the gift of music. Seeing you strengthen my faith even more. God has truly blessed you.

I am almost 74 years old and a Lutheran (LCMS). Although I was raised in the Roman Catholic Church, attended parochial schools for 9 years, including one year at a Capuchin-Franciscan Prep Seminary, I left the Catholic Church in my early forties. My wife was also raised Catholic and felt as I do when we left the RCC. I do not want to attack the Roman Church or engage in religious arguments over theological differences. Enough bloody wars have occurred throughout history between Christians, each claiming to have exclusive interpretation of the Bible. However, Our Lord Jesus taught many fundamental truths which both Protestants and Catholics can agree on, and some of the doctrinal distinctive need not cause us to wage war against one another. Having a relationship with Jesus, knowing that we are saved by grace, redeemed by His finished work on the cross, and striving to live as He taught is where we need to focus. I have not heard all of JTM's songs, but I was very uplifted by "I am the Resurrection....". It is a powerful hymn and crosses denominations. It is right from God's word (John 11:25), and who can not appreciate it? However, although Catholics are my brothers and sisters in Christ, I disagree with many doctrines they believe, and conscience and conviction as to Bible truths places me in the Lutheran corner. I will not argue the ageless debates here, as we all know about the Reformation and the issues which remain unresolved. Nevertheless, we try to live in peace, in mutual respect, and with our hearts still focused on Jesus, whom we love together, and who loves and cares for us. God bless, John J. Flanagan, Clifton Park, New York.

I was having a hard time in life a few years back. My husband was working out of town, my mother-in-law who was living with us at the time was terminally ill and I was caring for her at home, and of course I was trying to be a good mom to our sons. And, emotionally, I was coming apart at the seams. I had one of those still small voice moment where God quietly said to me, "If you want to walk on water, don't look down." A gentle reminder from my Father that I can't do it alone ... and it made me smile too. One bread, one body, one Lord of all. One cup of blessing that we bless. And we, though many, through out the earth, we are one body in this ONE LORD.

Delta Fox I think humans are all judgmental and full of imperfections. Christians should be the right role models in society - many are but I wouldn't disagree with you, there is a high % that do not live the gospel as it teaches. Jesus warned many will be led astray , becoming worldly and living a double standard. FEW will enter the Kingdom, WIDE is the road that leads to destruction. Jesus was clear about this .

@@JohnMichaelTalbot And no doubt, my Brother, that you know that all are forgiven because of Yeshua's finished work on the cross, so they who walk away from Eternal life will have no excuse - _for they walk away _*_forgiven._* We may now draw *_boldly_* before His throne of *Grace,* knowing He sees us as cleansed not unclean, because of Yeshua's finished work on the cross, leaving nothing for us but His righteousness as He became sin for us, never requiring a Purgatory. 2 Corinthians 5:21 In the Bible is no error, only within that which men have added without charter, will error be found. It is better to err on the side of caution and remain pure in His word, free and clean of the error of pride and fear which so easily binds, than to become wise in traditions of men. He said, not I nor an Angel from heaven may preach another Gospel or he shall be accursed. When I asked Jesus into my heart and was baptized at 14. I have so much in common with your testimony. That was with a Pentecostal church, independent from the assemblies. I received my calling in fullness at the Assembly of God and was re baptized Jesus showed me that WE where ALL one body in Him! When I shared these things with my pastor and others I was ostracized basically. There was the same three things you identified! My focus from the begging was done in complete worship of Jesus and because of that I exceedingly grew in knowledge, favor and stature. He is healing His church! When confirmed I remained faithful and respected and honored all according to scripture. My Priest one as vulgar and mischievous as he was was ultimately transferred. However the abuse still continued through the community in one shape form or fashion. I have some disabilities but the mystery of medicine and world views of the mystics once again have been dismissed in the vain attempts of mans pride, power and control of what is truly Holy. I am a cross denominational minster of the Gospel as a Peacemaker as that We are all Children of God and are well know for His countenance that shines upon us. My personal opinion is that we do not need conversions to our most Holy Faith. For there are many that will never be able to understand the fullness there of. I honestly have witnessed the abuses of power, in correct abuses in teaching our you by the Roman Catholic personal agendas (not all but many). As we are all well aware of the tribunal counsel has failed repeatedly over the issues that have surfaced I am ( in no way implying all) The sacraments we are so delighted in are in some ways fashioned by the original ordinance of the first church. However we choose to view these things, we all long for better communication and communities of One unity! For instance if I attend under the leading of the Holy Spirit to a non Catholic gathering, with the full blessing of my Priest and that community of believers are celebrating communion ( with or without knowledge of and even somewhat grieving the Holy Spirit by lack of understanding or even ignorance of this because of a humans prideful nature) when I with full knowing what they are doing with full good hearts, confession and examine their own conscience before partaking. If I do not participate after understanding of this HOLY COMMUNION, would I therefore in a sense be causing the devision that has been so since Adam and Eve? If the the CHURCH of my knowledge and understanding is to be healed WE MUST FULLY GET AN UNDERSTANDING of OUR FATHER WHO ART in HEAVEN to reach them for the Gospel of JESUS. I am a hard core Jesus Freak and the things I have witnessed over 40 yrs. Myself being one , is the failure of humans to not be aware of the number one vice, Pride at one level or another. Concopience ( pardon spelling) natures. I have followed you from the first time I heard your testimony and mainly music, because our souls cry out for the living word in us and amongst us. Please write to me at Phyllisgovia@gmail.com I have a spiritual director I stay in unity with, she is a female and balance and reflection come with clarity only after sincere and direct prayers with some fasting. May God bless us all and keep us all in perfect peace....

In my childhood and my adolescence, I was a non-practicing Catholic. I didn’t know much about the Catholic faith in my late 20s. I gave my heart to the Lord and started to develop a relationship with Jesus and learning more the Bible, which was great but like you said yourself, what broke my heart is all the divisions in Protestantism, and then went to a conference on evangelism and the speaker spoke about the most experience. Evangelist were the Catholics because they started it all through the Time of Jesus Christ. It’s now 22 years I have a blossoming, personal relationship with Jesus and I always ask for prayers by his mother Mary, in the rich Catholic faith, which started after the time of Jesus Christ 33ad amen 🙏

You say you go back to the bible to learn the truth but,, So why do you ordain women ? Yes,, God wrote the bible so we could always seek the truth. 1 Timothy Chapter 2 12 But I suffer not a woman to teach, nor to usurp authority over the man, but to be in silence. 13 For Adam was first formed, then Eve. 14 And Adam was not deceived, but the woman being deceived was in the transgression. 15 Notwithstanding she shall be saved in childbearing, if they continue in faith and charity and holiness with sobriety.

You have a beautiful voice and I have no doubt that you love God. I grew up Catholic, starting at age five. Went to a Catholic school. When I married I eventually left the Catholic Church. Some years later after reading the Bible, you see we never were taught from the Bible when growing up in the Catholic church or school, I began to look for a church that actually taught the truth of the Bible. I revisited the Catholic church. After reading and studying the Bible, I found that that the Catholic church was full of idolatry and responsible for changing the Sabbath from the God ordained Sabbath to a compromise with paganism, back in Constantine's time. I think you will agree that no-one has the authority to change what the LORD has written with His own finger. They continue to say they have the authority, the proof is that almost the whole world follows their lead. Well, after killing and persecuting anyone who had a Bible and followed the truth of the Bible, there weren't many left who followed or even knew the original ten commandments. The papacy took the Bible from the people and kept it in Latin, to keep it a mystery to the common people. This change of the Sabbath and commandments fulfilled the prophesy in Daniel 7:25. "He shall speak pompous words against the Most High, shall persecute the saints of the Most High, and shall intend to change times and law....." The Catholic church is not His first church, but it is the first Church to deceive the people and change the ten commandments and the Seventh-day Sabbath that the LORD sanctified. This was made official at the Council of Nicaea. Also, don't be deceived about Pope Frances. He is fulfilling end time prophesy by calling all the "daughter" churches, that broke away from the Catholic church, back to her. The papacy is making compromises left and right to accomplish this. We have a decision to make, will we follow God's Law or man traditions. Start studying your Bible, Daniel and Revelation must be read together to understand the prophesies. You will see that the Bible explains itself. It points to a religious/political organization that sits on 7 hills. That can only be Rome/the Roman Catholic church. You will see that Revelation. The woman who sits on the beast has all the colors and symbols of the Catholic church. The color that is missing is "blue" which represents the true ten commandments. Another misunderstanding about the Catholic Church is that it came from the linage of Peter, who Jesus said, "Upon this Rock I shall build My church." The name Peter doesn't mean "rock", it means, pebble or small stone. Peter certainly wasn't a rock. He denied Jesus and hid with the apostles during and after the crucifixion. The "Rock" was Jesus Himself, the Rock of ages, the Rock in Daniel's prophecy. We are in the time of the toes in the statue in Nebuchadnezzar's dream. It is time to get familiar with your Bible, so as not to be deceived. By the way, the statues on St.Peter's basilica, in Rome are Roman g od's, not the twelve apostles. There names are still on them. There is an obelisk in front of St. Peter's! Peter would turn over in his grave if he knew a church was built in his name and that people pray to him instead of directly to the Father, in the name of Jesus. Luckily "the dead know nothing", (yes, you can find this in your Bible) and will know nothing until "the Lord Himself will descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of an archangel, and with the trumpet of God. And the dead in Christ will rise first. The who are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And thus we shall always be with the Lord." 1 Thessalonians 4:16-17 Jesus is not touching down on the ground. We are joining Him in the clouds, anything else will be a deception. Don't go and see! Yes, the teachings about our dead loved ones looking down on us from heaven are not biblical, and that is a blessing. Praise the LORD! It would not give our love ones peace, if they had to see what is going on here. I could go on and on about deceptive teaching in most churches, due to following the lead of the Catholic church. There is so much confusion! And who is the author of confusion? That would be Satan! The Bible says in Revelation 18:4 "And I heard another voice from heaven saying: 'Come out of her, my people, lest you share in her sins, and lest you receive her plagues." Please go to the Bible and read the rest of Revelation 18. Don't take my word for it check it out in the Bible. Use a translated Bible not one like "The Story". Most of the end time prophesies have been fulfilled, others are being fulfilled before our very eyes, but we haven't learned what to look for. Jesus said, "My people die for lack of knowledge". Don't be one of the people missing out on heaven, because everything else was too pressing to take the time to learn the signs of the times, in the Bible. When you read the Bible, ask the Holy Spirit to guide your understanding and stand in the way of deception. Satan and His fallen angels know the bible better than we do. God bless you and keep you from Satan's deception.

If I could just ask a couple questions, isn't it important to pay attention to what the Catholic Church has done? If someone is supposed to be in the place of Christ (the Pope), and they order the torture of anyone who isn't Catholic, that seems very very bad. And also, how can you accept protestants? The Catholic church condemns anyone who says you're saved by faith alone (which would condemn Paul because of Romans 3:28). On top of that Pope Francis has said that Islam and Christianity worship the same God (catholicnews.sg/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=1547:do-christians-and-muslims-worship-the-same-god&catid=119&Itemid=473&lang=en). If someone can please answer me on these things I would appreciate it.

As long as you believe that Christ died for our sins and you must be born again by the Spirit of God by excepting his sacrifice on the cross. God is not about 'Catholic', 'Protestant' or whatever ... He is about JESUS. No one comes to the Father but through Him. If you will confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus, and believe in your heart God raised Him from the dead ... YOU SHALL BE SAVED. Human institutions can't help but misrepresent God ... but no matter HOW you came into this world, no matter WHAT 'religion' you were brought up in ... JESUS is the answer. If Jesus is rejected ... God is rejected. Period. Know Jesus .... Know Peace!

we are all "catholic" in the sense of the universal church. I was raised in the catholic church but I attend a protestant church now. We should be able to fellowship with each other simply based on our inclusion into the body of Christ. This is not necessarily the catholic church but all mankind. God, Jesus, and Holy Spirit love all mankind equally and infinitely forever. I love the catholic church and so does God but no more or less than anyone else. God Bless

I have researched the Catholic Church, and the Protestant Churches. There is only one truth. There cannot be 30,000 truths, like the different types of Christian belief systems. Historically, Protestantism was begotten from scrupulous arrogant disobedience started by Luther, a CATHOLIC monk. We are nobody to interpret God as WE see fit but rather as HE was REVEALED to us by tradition, which is also Biblical. Imagine someone says that they "love you and knows you," but believes that they can have lovers behind your back and preach that "you are ok with that".....That's what Protestantism did.... It perverted Sacred scripture, Sacred teachings and Holy Traditions passed on from Jesus, His apostles, and so on, only to suit a man-made Christian belief system. There is a lot of contradiction in Protestantism to prove it starting from it's foundation... Protestantism began by Luther, in the 1500s, not Jesus, with the Holy Spirit....Who is King James anyway and why should his name be on the Holy Books of the Bible??? All this research and Historical finds made me a Catholic by FACTUAL CONVICTION.... We will not be judged and punished or rewarded on how we feel but how we behaved and how much we sought truth.... and the truth is: No... They are NOT the same thing....and if truth is only ONE, the rest must be lies, and half-told truths....correct? It's only logical, that truth is one. God bless, brother.

@hope4all69 the Bible passage would be considered towards Protestants. No where in the Bible does it teach that we are saved by "faith alone" and that we ought to just live by "Bible alone"... as a matter of fact the Bible tells us the EXACT OPPOSITE. it's Faith and works through grace and that we are to follow tradition, written (Bible and other canonical papers) and spoken. Protestantism is a man made cult that is anti-Christian

The church is and unseen kingdom. It is a group of many different Christian churches. We are all united in the body of Chris as believers. God Bless you for trying to make changes in the Catholic Church. However, the original church was not a domination, it proceeded the Catholic church (which was founded in Rome) by several hundred years. There has always been differences in the church in different locations. Look at the 7 churches in Revelation... The 1st century church in Corinth, had different struggles than the church in Ephesus, and so on.

If I misinterpret Scripture is that not synonymous with not understanding Scripture? But you should know my life doesn't hinge on any printed text, so perverted over centuries. No printed text as ever bore witness to the truth of the spirit, but it's the spirit that bears witness to the truth of any printed text. Should there be any truth to it. "Call no man teacher."

I experienced an astonishing miracle when I prayed about where to go to church... so this gives an interesting perspective when I hear people oppose being part of the church. It helps me to know it is just the opinion of an individual, and I have confidence God does not agree. Here is the amazing chain of events: 1. I prayed to know if I should go to Protestant church, which I wanted to attend, or return to Catholic... Please, Lord, somehow show me which church to go to. I don't know how you can show me, but please show me and make it clear. The minute I finished praying, I happened to read a story (in a public resource) about a person who was converted to the Catholic church. I didn't know that is what I was reading until I was in the middle of it. I started jumping up and down that this happened the minute after praying!!!!------- 2. THis was long ago, and i no longer go to this particular church--- but I was led to the following church long ago: I prayed, Lord, should I go to Sacred Heart, or St. Andrews. Please, somehow, someway, make your will clear. Please may I hear the name of one of these churches, somehow, someway. Within about one half hour, I got a phone call, from a person who could have called me any time in the next month, but happened to call right that minute. They are out of town. They said, "when you come to visit me in a month, i found what church we can go to. We can go to Sacred Heart." That was another perfect answer to a prayer... to be led by the Spirit. I know it was a miracle of God in my life. I pray in faith, and so I trust amazing answers when they are given to me. That is living by faith------3. I visited the Cathedral of St. Andrew... they left the cup of the blood of CHrist on the altar at communion, because they did not have enough communion servers. I was very bothered in my spirit. I spoke to the priest after and said I have been a visiter, but I would like to help serve communion if I could/ (I had never done it before anywhere). He said yes... you can start, even before taking our class. When I got home, I read 2 Bible devotions, to seek to know the will of God in this matter. Should I serve at this church? The first Bible devotion was from one of the books of chronicles, i think the 32nd chapter.... and spoke about serving in the temple at the altar!!!! The second Bible devotion was in Max Lucado devotional Bible, at the end of the gospel of Matthew. It was about the woman who came to the tomb, to prepare Jesus' body for burial... They were dealing with the Lord's body!!!! It was basically about how they volunteerred to do it!!!! It said, "they could have said, 'let somebody else do it," but instead, they stepped up to do it. WOW!!! It spoke of how God loves this... and how God likes to show up and speak to people and let us encounter Him. The final thought for this Bible devotion gave a call out for people to volunteer at church!!!! WOW!....That was one again very clear leading by the Holy Spirit about being in the Catholic Church and serving there. ------ 4. I had a deep spiritual experience at St. Andrew's once I started attending there, through the music ministry. It deeply touched my heart.... the music was so beautiful, it sounded like heaven. It sparked me to resume studying music again. WHen I asked for permission to do this study, because I was already struggling for time to do everything the Lord showed me to do, but telling Jesus, " I love it so much"... I next read a Bible devotion for an answer... Guess what it said???!!! It honestly said, right in the middle of it, "Do what you love!!!" just like I had just prayed!!! It was another miraculous answer to prayer!!!!! . Later, I felt drawn to serve in the music ministry, after much practice... because I know the power that praise and worship can make in people's walk with the Lord & participation at mass... (and I still have dreams with this, not yet fulfilled, that God has told me to be patient about).... When I next asked if I should join music ministry, and that I was feeling a call to this... I read a Bible devotion --- IT was about music ministry!!! This happened twice!!!! I know, without any doubt, that the Holy Spirit led me to not only be in the Catholic Church, but to be at the particular Catholic Church that I am now attending--- at the Cathedral of St. Andrew....... -------- There are Christians who fight against the Church, but Jesus would not lead people like me, in such a clear way, to be in the Catholic Church, if He were against it. He is not against it... despite the major failures that have occurred with it...

Please read my testimony in this chain of replies, and consider praying about joining the Catholic church. Pray with an open heart, and willingness to submit to the will of God, dying to self and your own opinions and way and rebellion. I believe you show a fire like St. Paul showed in opposing the Christian church... submit to God and you can be like a ST. Paul in the Catholic church. I believe if you pray and are open and soften your heart, you may find God calling you to be part of His Church, and could have much to contribute to it. May Jesus bless you

Thanks for this video, JMT. It adds a much-needed perspective to how to face sin and scandal in the church. More importantly it addresses a basic of Christian faith which is surrendering to Christ. I myself was raised Lutheran due to my Scandinavian cultural heritage. But I was blessed to know our local priest from a young age as well. Father Treacy introduced us to interfaith dialogue which has been an enormous blessing to our family. Father William Treacy turned 100 years old this May and our family was there to celebrate with him. My mother attends church with the Lutheran congregation on Sunday and drives a retired sister to Mass every Monday morning. It is possible for brothers and sisters in Christ to get along. In fact, we first heard ONE BREAD ONE BODY while visiting St. Cecilia’s for Saturday evening Mass when I was a boy. Peace to you, JMT. We are praying for Pope Francis and all our Catholic brothers and sisters. With much gratitude, Brother Arnold Andre

Thank you for posting this, I personally love the analogy to the moment where Peter walks on water. This is very analogous of the Church today, whenever we fail to gaze, adore and look to Jesus we begin to falter but just as Jesus saves Peter so to He constantly lifts and heals His Church. Pope Francis truly emphasizes this need to look to Jesus and I rest assured of his tenacity and witness in constantly looking to Jesus. Truly an exciting time to be Catholic, for as we believe all men and women are created in the image of God, all can only be saved by Jesus Christ and an undying life lived in faith of His sacrifice and resurrection. Come Holy Spirit fill our Hearts, lead us to daily conversion, enliven our Faith, and fill us with Your Love. Amen
