I wrote a comment back in July 2018 about struggling and this song making sense to me. I was suffering from severe anxiety and depression. I have sense taking medicine for it and changed my life completely to make myself better physically and emotionally. If you're reading this, you can do it too. You're not alone, its not about the destination, its about the journey. One day you will tell someone what you went through and it'll help them. If you want to talk shoot me a message or reply here. We have to be there for each other.

i too know the pain and suffering of this....the words fight on while easy to say are hard to do, but you have to...talk to people, there are many more people that deal with this than anyone knows, its kept secret because its scary, but its not, everyone has something to fight on about.

It’s 2017, laying in bed, pondering life, accepting the fact the girl I love is with someone else, fighting whether to hold everything all in or let it all out. I will forever be greatful for john’s words. One day when I too am standing in front of 17,00 people playing my soul out, I’ll remember this speech, and give credit where it’s due. Everyone freaks out, it’s what we need to just do. It’s how we fight the war we’re in is what we remember..

Maybe you need a remind that it IS okay. Isn't it crazy how you're not the only one? Save this wisdom forever. TEACH this...to your children, your grandchildren, your friends, your foes...YOURSELF.

You know, somewhere along the way, somebody or some group of people instructed us that it is possible to feel okay all of the time. That the human body, or the human mind should normally behave appropriately at all times. And if there is even any part of your day, or week, or month that falls short of feeling 100%, that there is something wrong with you. “Does it burn when you swallow or do you got acid reflux? You can’t eat pasta sauce after 11.” Bullshit. Let me tell you what happens to everybody but they won’t talk about it because they feel like its only them. But its everybody. Everybody freaks out. I wanna show you something. Thats a Xanax .5 milligrams. You know why I keep prescribing more, or asking for a prescription? You know why I keep going to my doctor to ask for more? Not because I take them. Because I run them through the laundry. These do not go in my blood stream, these go through my plumbing. But I’ve got my .5 in my pocket just incase I freak the fuck out infant of all of you! 17,000 people. Get a shot of this. If you wanna freak out, freak out. If you feel like all of a sudden you’re 6 and you wanna cry and you don’t know why, just go do it. lets have everybody just accept everyone else is going to freak out. Yeah everyones going to freak out. You’re not going to be 100% all the time. Hey can somebody get me another Xanax please? Yes, let me make it easy for you. You’re going to freak out. You’re going to have at least one moment per week where you don’t feel right. But maybe it doesn’t feel so wrong if you know that its kinda suppose to happen to you. It is the other side of being conscious and loving. That there are going to be times that you’re going to have to hit Control-Alt-Delete. Just gonna have to take a moment. You might be walking through an airport, you might be having the time of your life. In fact its more likely to happen during the time of your life. You might sit down in Cabo, put your feet in the sand, crack open a Corona, and go ughhh. Thats you not letting yourself have a good time. And I guarantee you there someone sitting out here at the show tonight going like “I need to use the bathroom and I wanna go home.” Me too! Nobody wants to use the bathroom and go home more than me, and I gotta play on stage every night. So what I’m trying to say to you is fight on!

This song means so much to me. I listened to it and played it back in October. In the wake of losing my house in Breezy Point to Hurricane Sandy and just when I thought it was over, my grandmother who was 98 had a stroke and was put into ICU. I had so much on my mind, what would happen after this? I listened to this and it made me want to 'fight on.' A week after her stroke, she passed and my family and I had to rebuild our house. Now here I am, and everything's alright. So fight on.

Spent almost a day without food, because all I could do was cry. Sometimes it seems that there is nothing left to do, but I'll fight on. This is the war of my life and I'm gonna fight on until is done. I am gonna get her back. We belong togheter and will fight on. I am freaking out at this moment, but I'll fight on. If im not mistaken this is during his tour supporting heartbreak warfare. During this tour, he started reallyyy liking the sounds that you now here on born and raised. He actually started to write some of the songs you hear on B+R on the HW tour (conceptual ideas of songs). He was entering a fertile song-writing moment prematurely and wanted nothing more than to follow that inspiration, but he really couldn't do it while on tour. So yes he most certainly wanted to go home. Badly

you know, there is really something beautiful about people singing along, slightly out of tune, to songs they love so much by an artist they love so much at a concert.

To the love of my life, Things can get rough, and life isn’t always as amazing as we hoped it would be. I hope this finds you in a time when you need it most. All I want you to know is that I love you, and even though I may not be the most perfect man, I try hard every day to be that for you. I may be inconsiderate at times, and may take you for granted, please know that you mean the world to me. You’re my light in the dead of the night, and just as you helped me fight through my struggles, I want to be that for you. I love you
