    he has to have played this song a trillion times. the fact that he can still keep it so fresh and not be complacent is incredible. no matter what he says in interviews, the guy will always be an incredible artist.

    Michael Clement de Grandprey-Vaughan the neck was warped so he swapped it out but didn’t like it so he put the old neck back on and still plays it!

    John is one of the greatest guitarists of this generation, noone can argue about that. As far as who the best is, I don't think there's a right or wrong answer to that man... Everyone likes and is inspired by different styles of playing. Bonamassa is on the same level of guitar playing as John for sure, I enjoy his playing too sometimes.. I haven't really heard a lot of Fusciante to be honest...

    Maybe not best guitarist of this generation, best overall musician of this generation as far as I'm concerned...He's got the whole package, he's got insane guitar skills, singing skills, and what makes him stand out is his songwriting...just my opinion

    The amount of emotion in his playing is what makes him so special. It's the look in his eyes as he plays that solo in front of thousands of fans. He is completely absolved in his music, and you can see it in his eyes. Thanks for reminding me of the dreams i have to remember John, and may you never forget your own!

    Man, so fitting. You can tell his voice is so tired. His singing gives the feeling of struggling up against something. It's not as "quality" as usual, but his performance itself is a manifestation and example of the battle of man vs. force.

    I honestly believe that if John Mayer would had kept the Trio they could had been one of the greatest musical acts of all time.
