Upset. Tragic self destructive musical pioneer and literal genius... Saw him on his Grace n Danger tour in Brum, wheeled on in a wheelchair with one fukin leg, and loaded with Scottish whiskey....no idea what he was saying between songs as he'd gone " full glaswegian " by then.... Amazing performance. 6 months later, this sick sad world lost a master musician. Miss you John....

On 4 February 2008, Martyn received the lifetime achievement award at the BBC Radio 2 Folk Awards. The award was presented by his friend Phil Collins.

Nice to see our John again...

What a voice. Saw him at the roundhouse at one of his last gigs with a friend who has been a fan for many many years. Great guitar player too. Cheers.

This is the first time I've heard this song and I love it! I listened to the album version but I definitely prefer it with just guitar. This channel just keeps on giving, amazing upload!

Shook hands with the gentleman twice after his shows. I have one show in Seattle posted. The quality ain't great but he did a solo show and seldom did exact replays of the songs.

Thank you for posting this!!! I love John Martyn but have never seen this performance before. Saw him live in Belfast in 2006 ❤
