There are no words or tears that convey my thanks for Johnny Mac in helping me understand the word of God. Through his tapes and books, I have a better relationship with God. I could of never have attained the deeper understanding of the things of God on my own without the teachings from pastor John.

I began my walk with Christ by "following" the Charismatic/Pentacostal church where speaking in tongues and getting slain and drunk in the spirit (low case "s" denotes other than the Holy Spirit) was the "norm", and the worship team was giving mere entertainment to the congregation (it was a "circus"), then praise God, He led me to Pastor MacArthur's exegetical teaching from the word of God, and my eyes were opened! I am so grateful to God for leading me to the narrow road I am traveling which our Savior spoke of in Matthew 7 for the wide road certainly leads to destruction!

Well Said Pastor John MacArthur! Thank you for preaching/holding fast to God's Word! Refreshing when so many pastors are comprising. It was the Fear of the Lord that turned me from my sin. I received that message from the Bible. Just recently listen to Dave Wilkerson, he said the one thing that kept him from falling into sin for so many years... was the fear of the Lord.

Systematic Theology. I am sure so many churches around the world do not know what it means. Although the pastor‘s intention is to speak the truth, I realized how many times they failed, according to the study Bible. I am so much astonished how Dr. John MacArthur in his age knows his subject the gospel with a wise articulation towards the theme.

It's getting tough, I had a "discussion" the other day with an individual who insisted that if I am going to call myself "Reformed," then I MUST be "Covenental." I pointed out Big Mac, and his response was "he's not reformed..." I hate terms... I can't keep up with how people use and abuse them.

Real Christianity here. I’m reading the Bible in a year. I’m reading the wrath of God almost every single day. God destroys. This gets glossed over, sugar coated and ignored. John MacArthur is quite a discovery. In terms of carrot and stick, we all have the carrot waved in front of us but Christian teachers seem so terrified of the stick that they ignore it, and this does us a huge disservice. I’m new to Christianity so my knowledge is very limited indeed, but as I said at the start:this is real Christianity. I want to mention that my life has been one horrible sin after another. I sat in Zen meditation one morning last year and it suddenly hit me like a ton of bricks… that what I was doing was meaningless at best, and evil at the worst. In that moment, I knew Christianity was true. In fact, the sentence that popped into my head was “the Christians are absolutely right about everything”. I knew very close to nothing about it… just that it was true. The horror of looking at my life from that perspective is hard to put into words.

Sermon 11 Unawakened Sinners Heap Up to Themselves Wrath Against the Day of Wrath as Men are Wont to Heap Up Treasures A Sermon on Romans 2:5 A post by Don Kistler on the Puritan board: I’m very pleased to announce the publication of another volume of previously unpublished sermons by the great Jonathan Edwards. There are 15 sermons in this collection, 13 of which have never been printed before. This 344 page book retails for $27, but is offered to you by way of pre-publication special for $14, plus $7 postage. This offer is good until June 1, 2017, the projected date for the book to be in stock. It will likely be done before that, but the offer is good until that date. After that the price goes up to $20.00, plus postage. Dr. Ken Minkema, executive editor of The Works of Jonathan Edwards and The Jonathan Edwards Center at Yale University, wrote this: “I am pleased to see another volume of sermons by Edwards edited by Don Kistler, who has devoted his life to making ‘America’s Augustine’ available to those thirsting for Christian knowledge. Don works assiduously and lovingly to present Edwards the preacher, and we are all indebted to him for it.”

  • @JDSMoreThanWords

So much would like to see the power of the sermon emphasizing the wrath against sin separated from the hatred of the sinner. As of now I see only one, perhaps two verses in God's Word referring to God's hatred of the sinner. Of thousands of verses! A doctrine so bold perhaps would have more references, when His love for Humanity is often stated. Also wrath and punishment is not a product of hating a person. A parent can be angry, can punish their child with no hatred. Remember in hell sinners will not long to be with God, only desire a couple drops of water on their tongues in hades.

*The Enuma Elish would later be the inspiration for the Hebrew scribes who created the text now known as the biblical Book of Genesis.* Prior to the 19th century CE, the Bible was considered the oldest book in the world and its narratives were thought to be completely original. In the mid-19th century CE, however, European museums, as well as academic and religious institutions, sponsored excavations in Mesopotamia to find physical evidence for historical corroboration of the stories in the Bible. ***These excavations found quite the opposite, however, in that, once cuneiform was translated, it was understood that a number of biblical narratives were Mesopotamian in origin.*** *Famous stories such as the Fall of Man and the Great Flood were originally conceived and written down in Sumer,* translated and modified later in Babylon, and reworked by the Assyrians ***before they were used by the Hebrew scribes for the versions which appear in the Bible.*** ***In revising the Mesopotamian creation story for their own ends, the Hebrew scribes tightened the narrative and the focus but retained the concept of the all-powerful deity who brings order from chaos.*** Marduk, in the Enuma Elish, establishes the recognizable order of the world - *just as God does in the Genesis tale* - and human beings are expected to recognize this great gift and honor the deity through service. *Let's briefly run through the 'ten plagues':* First the rivers are turned to blood, all the fish die and the waters stink. No one has any water to drink. This lasted for seven days and would have resulted in mass deaths due to dehydration. Amongst the first to die would have been the children. *The author doesn't think to explain how the Hebrews were saved from this. No record of it was made anywhere in any Egyptian records.* Exodus 7:17-25. This is followed by a plague of frogs which had somehow survived the rivers of blood that had killed all the fish. A mere inconvenience, nothing more, and a big stink when they all died, *but no record anywhere.* Exodus 8:2-13. Next we have the plague of lice about which very little is said *and of course no record was made.* To a people who would have been accustomed to lice this would probably have been nothing remarkable. Exodus 8:16-18. Then the flies. Apart from the land being 'corrupted', whatever that means, there don't appear to have been any ill effects from this and they disappear as quickly as they came a few days later. *Nothing worth recording there, obviously.* Exodus 8:21-31. Now the author seems to begin to lose the plot and describes a 'grievous murrain' *which kills all the Egyptians' cattle, horses, camels and sheep.* ***They all died - hold that thought.*** *No Egyptian historian or keeper of official records deems it worthy of mention.* Exodus 9:3-6. Next come the boils which afflict everyone and everything, including all the livestock ***even though they had been killed by the 'grievous murrain' a few days earlier,*** *apparently, and yet no-one thought to write anything down anywhere.* Of course, anyone who understood anything about microorganisms and the aeteology of boils would have described this as an infestation with Staphylococcus - the signs of faecal contamination - but the author was obviously unaware of these. Maybe he was just in too much of a muddle by now to care. Exodus 9:8-11. Now it's hailstones so bad that every plant, every tree, every servant (for servant read slave) ***and even the livestock (that our story-teller has forgotten already that he killed off in the fifth plague before given them boils in the sixth) were harmed.*** It looks like our story-teller has learned from his earlier silly mistake with killing all the livestock too soon then having to resurrect them later. He mentions that some plants survive. Do I smell stinking fish again? *The greatest hail storm in all Egyptian history, apparently, but not worthy of being recorded.* Exodus 9:18-25. It's the turn of the locusts and it's suddenly obvious why some plants had to survive. *How could the locusts turn Egypt into a barren desert if the hail storm had done it earlier?* Good thinking there. Shame about the earlier boob! *Mysteriously, no Egyptian scribe appears to notice any of this or the inevitable famine and mass starvation which would have ensued.* Exodus 10:4-15. And for the penultimate trick, it's going to be dark for three days. *No one makes a record of this, obviously.* Exodus 10:21-23. The last 'plague' is not so much a plague as a ritual genocide. *Here our tale takes a nasty turn and the true character of the Hebrew god is revealed in all its glory - a petty, vindictive, homicidal psychopath who has not yet acquired the omniscience he will be granted later. He kills every firstborn Egyptian in a single night,* ***including the firstborn of all the cattle that died in the fifth plague.*** *For some reason he needs the Hebrews to leave a secret sign so he doesn't kill them too. Weirdly, he can't tell his own chosen people from ordinary Egyptians and doesn't even know where they live.* And he had been leading up to this, apparently, because after every plague he 'hardens the heart' of Pharaoh so that he wouldn't let the Hebrews go. He had actually been planning this genocide all along just to impress people with his powers. *And still no-one thought even this mass killing in a single night worth making a note of in any Egyptian records.* Exodus 12:1-30. And then, of course, Pharaoh could muster up 600 horses to pull the chariots ***from amongst all the dead livestock from the 5th plague*** (Exodus 14:7). Google *"Rosa Rubicondior: Origins Of The Exodus Myth"* ------------------------------------------------------------------ In addition, look up the below articles. *"Debunking Christianity: PATTERNS OF POOR RESEARCH- A Critique of Patterns of Evidence:Exodus"* *"For you were (not) slaves in Egypt: The ancient memories behind the Exodus myth - Archaeology - **Haaretz.com**"* *"Why the Exodus Story Has Value Despite Being Complete Myth - Psychology Today Australia"* *"Is the Exodus a Myth? - Worlds Beyond"* *"Historicity of Exodus and Moses - The Creatively Maladjusted"* *"Biblical Contradiction #81. What makes you think the Yale scholars and people you referenced have evidence to support their theory? I would be sceptical about scholarships from our once theological seminaries now called IVY league schools. An atheist is the head of Harvard school of divinity. Please be careful with all of the people you referenced in your post and compilation of their theories. Molecular DNA is providing informational clarity about Adam and Eve. Scientific discoveries regarding origin and evolutions are very unreliable and continue to change. Please be careful and wear your sceptical lense when dealing with the scientific community. Science used to be in search of the truth but now, it's in search of private and government grants and comfortable life styles for the scientists.

. God has told us to pass on this last days warning, so we are sharing this video, which we hope you will watch, with everyone and we will let God bring the understanding, we are just the messengers. Last Days Message - So Much Of What Today's Leaders Do Cannot Be Found In God's Word, Why Follow Them? Acts chapter 2, and for that matter, the entire book of Acts is for today, despite what so many leaders and denominations say. The book of Acts is not the acts of the apostles, it is the acts of the Holy Spirit done through His apostles and disciples. The book of Acts cannot be ignored or watered down. Many of today's leaders are encouraging God's people to worship God any way they want, yet Jesus says He is looking for those that will worship Him in Spirit and in Truth. Jude tells us to earnestly contend for the faith once for all delivered unto the saints. So, if something a leader is encouraging you to do cannot be found in God's word then don't do it. Follow, serve and worship Jesus as He states in His word. If a leader is teaching you anything else, run away! Leaders in the early, already corrupted church, created "special" days, created a church calendar, created traditions and added so much to God's word and how to preach God's word, that leaders today cannot see how much they have continued on the wrong path. God may have saved someone or worked a miracle during one of these "special" days, but not because it was a "special" day, God did it in spite of the leader honoring their "special" day and He loves His children, but He has had enough of working in spite of His leaders. Throw away everything that is not in God's word, there are no "special" days, God does not work on a "church" calendar, God does not like traditions and wants His people to use His word alone. Leaders must get back to preaching like Jesus, Peter, and Paul and the rest of His apostles and disciples, without notes, without preplanned messages, and instead, preach by opening their mouths and letting the Holy Spirit speak through them. Are there any leaders today that have enough faith and trust in God to believe that He will speak through them? If you cannot do that, could it be you were not called? Could it be, you were called but you lost your way? The "church" calendar or special events should never guide what leaders preach about, it should always and forever be what God wants to speak about through His leaders. Didn't God say that rivers of living waters would flow from your belly, don't leaders believe that? Run from planned messages, because they are from man not from God. God always wants to speak, and according to His word that is what He wants His leaders to be doing, waiting on God to bring forth His message that God has on His heart. This continued way of following, serving and worshipping God as man desires has brought so much lukewarmness to God's church that Revelation 3:14-22 is soon coming to pass. He who has ears to hear let him hear. kzread.info/dash/bejne/nYF_yshrhbXHqco.html

It’s just an understanding of the definition John is using in that day. Distinguishing 2 people groups amongst Israel. Covenant Faithful who believe in Jesus and apostate who deny Jesus and the covenant wrath is coming upon them. 1 John 2:22-23. Who is the liar but he who denies that Jesus is the Christ? This is antichrist, he who denies the Father and the Son. No one who denies the Son has the Father. Whoever confesses the Son has the Father also. Hebrews 5:5 So also Christ did not exalt himself to be high priest, but was appointed by Him who said to Him, You are my Son, today have I begotten you. So Jesus was appointed the true High Priest at His Baptism. From then on any high priest was apostate and Antichrist. Also the High priesthood had been corrupted when Jason stole the position from Onias 3rd and after Jason the lineage of Zadok never took up the position again which was against Gods command in Ezekiel 40. So the High Priest was the covenant apostate head of Israel which would make him an antichrist and anyone who followed him would be operating under the spirit of antichrist. To oppose or put in place of is antichrist definition.

Hi, good question. The rest of your Scripture reference should be helpful in answering your question, "...that He gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believes in him should not perish but have everlasting life." This and the rest of John 3 that explains how sinners stand condemned already. Scripture is clear that all men will perish, in contrast to everlasting life. There is an exception: ..."whosoever believes." Furthermore, faith is not what saves. It is the object of that faith that saves: "his only Son." The chapter will make clear that God doesn't save universally. It's even closer to say he condemns universally, with the exception of believers in Jesus. Consider also Matt 7:13 saying, “Enter through the narrow gate; for the gate is wide and the way is broad that leads to destruction, and there are many who enter through it." Since many enter destruction, these are obviously those who did not receive God's love by the death of his Son. John 3:16's "world" is therefore not "all without exception," but "all without distinction." This is further supported on John 3's context: Jesus is talking to Nicodemus, who, like the rest of the Jews, could not imagine God saving from different nations without distinction (Samaritans, Romans, Americans 😉, etc..). Context is always the necessary to understand words, phrases, and especially those most quoted and loved verses. Again, a great question. Hope this continues to spur you on to prayerful and fruitful study in Scripture, to see Christ as more important than anything else.

God loves the believer in a special way because he is His child. But this does not change the fact that God loves the sinner in general. John 3:16 teaches that no one is exempt from this love. Therefore it is not abominable and blasphemous to say God loves sinners unconditionally. In fact this is presupposed in the gospel message.

The Gospel: Plain and Simple “But I fear, lest by any means, as the serpent beguiled Eve through his subtilty, so your minds should be corrupted from the simplicity that is in Christ.” - 2 Corithians 11:3 Ask someone today if they are saved and you will most likely hear responses like these: “I have accepted Jesus into my heart.” Or “I have made him Lord of my life.” “I’ve been baptized.” “I said a prayer.” Sounds all good and churchy don’t it; but it is difficult to de-termine whether or not a person actually knows the gospel that saves them. These use￾less phrases don’t describe a thing about what the gospel is and has left a devastating effect of people not knowing what it is that they are saved from nor how they are saved; which leaves a more serious effect of people ques￾tioning their salvation. Let’s not muddy the simplicity of salva￾tion that is in Christ with vague church sounding phrases that do not communicate anything. But rather present God’s word with clarity and assuredness. So here is the gospel: plain and simple. Sin was passed upon all men by one man Adam, and death is a consequence of this sin (Rom 5:12). Mankind has an eternal destiny of condemnation and wrath - Hell - because of this sin (Rom 6:23). No matter what good works one might do we are still found sinners in the sight of our Creator God. And all un￾righteousness and those who follow get in￾dignation and wrath. We cannot be found righteous for by God’s law we are found sin￾ners (Rom 3:19-20). If we have broken even one law we are found guilty. It is for this reason of not being able to create our own righteousness and being born in a sinful flesh that we need a savior (Titus 3:5). Christ is that Savior, God manifested in the flesh, sinless, died in our place on a cross 2000 years ago. Taking upon him the wrath and judgement that was intended for us sin￾ners. And it is through his bloodshed, burial, and resurrection on our behalf that we are able to have peace with God and forgiveness of our sins (1 Cor 15:1-4, Col 3:14). This good news is unto all but only those that believe in it are made righteous in Christ (Romans 3:22). It is then after we have heard this good news of Christ’s righteousness available to us freely, that we are sealed with the Holy Spirit and we are now part of Christ’s body the church (Eph 1:13) There is nothing that we need to do, no good works that are required, and no bad works that can separate us from our new po￾sition in Christ (Romans 8:35-39). Faith and belief in this information from God’s word is the gospel. The gospel is not accepting Jesus into your heart. The gospel is not making him lord of your life, it is not saying a prayer and it is not being baptized with water. So next time someone asks you if you are saved. Give them the clear assured answer “Yes! And let me tell you why Find more free resources at: www.graceambassadors.com
