Thankyou Jesus for John MacArthur

I asked this question years ago. And one day I was surfing at four seasons in Kona and I couldn't paddle out from the inlet I was in. I got off my board certain my leash was caught on the rocks but it was free. So I just kept digging as hard as I could and explaining to God that I was sorry but he was guilty of allowing evil and there was no way around it. It was a full twenty minutes that, apparently, The Lord has a hold of my leash and I went nowhere. Them this long boarder saw me and asked if I was in trouble so, I told him what has been happening and he said try follow me, brah... And I followed him straight out to the break in the exact same path I wasn't able to moments earlier. But by then it was all blown out, so I caught a wave or two and went in. Then I heard a live report on the radio as I was just leaving four seasons from a rescue helicopter saying, two twelve foot tiger sharks that had been spotted in prey stalking movements not a hundred feet from two surfers at the south end of the break (that would be me and the long boarder), but that we had all paddled in and they closed the beach. Suddenly, it dawned on me that I may just have been spared from becoming brunch for Tigger and Sharek... So, all of the sudden, I was listening... And The Lord answered all of my fears by simply saying "I do not allow evil to run rampant. And I will eradicate evil completely. But if I was to completely eradicate it, now, them every unsaved soul would have to perish, today..." That was all I needed to hear to realize, regardless of how thorough I believe I have thought something through, there could be something I have not thought of. In fact, it's most likely there's plenty I don't comprehend. So, for me, I have learned I can totally trust The Lord with the things I don't fully grasp, and know, when all is revealed, my faith will be the wisest thing I could have done.

Amen lederreredy AMEN I COULD EXHAUST THIS PAGE TELLING ALL THE WONDERFUL THINGS THE LORD HAS DONE FOR ME. I did not understand why he did things the way did at times and now I don't have to understand EVERYTHING THIS IS WHY HE TOLD ME TO TRUST HIM AND LEAN NOT TO MY OWN UNDERSTANDING.

@@estherkeeling777 The day I began to suspect that The Lord might be calling me, my life was a mess. I realized the key things that were dragging me down, so I decided to walk away from them. And I did it. At the time, I had no reason to assume I was getting help from God, I just figured I had had enough of the consequences. But, in hindsight, I'm sure The Lord was preparing me to commit my heart to Him. On the day that that happened, I remember being flooded with what seemed like a thousand thoughts per second (and I don't think that fast) of all the reasons why asking Jesus into my heart was a bad idea. Then, I realized where all those thoughts were coming from, and that there was a literal battle going on between God and Satan over me! And I was flabbergasted! After all, who am I? I realize, now, that there's no greater honor, and no greater Person to place my faith, trust, and hope in than Jesus Christ... The world will have its time to scoff and mock The Living God, but that too shall pass. I am so grateful to know that I put eternal things as the priority over finite things. It grieves me to see just how many people don't see the honor of being called by The King of Kings, Himself... That baffles my mind. They obviously don't see His glory, power, love, kindness, patients, creative genius, His sense of humor, and a few dozen more specific characteristics, just alone, being reflected in all that He has made... Not to mention His special revelation of Himself through His word...

Every Christian needs this message. We all need to answer the question as the world is hung up on it and entire denominations are hung up on it.

I’m so thankful for pastors like John McArthur who will not minimize God for the comfort of man.

The unmistakable difference between sound biblical study, and a lifetime of plumbing the depths of God’s Word, verses sugar coated watered down compromised feel good easy believe’ism rhetoric…is so refreshing. Thank you John MacArthur and thank you Ligonier. Praise be to God Almighty.

So as you said and this is the argument for the luciferians that you so readily backup for them. That God created the Angels knowing that they were going to fall only to throw them into outer Darkness for they will have suffering for the rest of Eternity. Tormented day and night forever and ever. then you have the nerve to say that God is love. You do not serve the god of the Bible nor do you speak for him you speak the words of men and therefore you will answer as a man to the Creator. @@ramonlopez95 the entire context of your statement can only be described as scriptural ignorance. No one is going to listen to an arrogant finger pointer boasting about knowing the God of the Bible and asserting who does or doesn’t serve him when you are ignorant to the basics of what the Bible promises of his attributes. It’s almost as if you just fully ignored the entire hour long sermon and just went straight to comments. Not only did he impart that judgment upon the angels that denied him but also to every single human being that does the same. To sum it all up…. You need to pray for understanding. You are coming at this from a self-centered point of view. You are making the determination that gods decreed judgment Sets him apart from love. Or……. could it be that you just don’t understand? You are professing that what God’s word undeniably proclaims is false….. Think about that for a minute. Don’t sum up your own idea of who God is determined from your emotional standpoint on a subject. Let god show you who he is by reading the Bible!

No one can teach you any different because you know it already right. You teach Baal worship I think it's you that needs to read the Bible and get to know the real God Of Heaven and Earth because what you teach is not biblical and yes I know the Hebrew well not so much the Greek but I have friends that have studied the Greek. I can also read ancient paleo. You teach but the Vatican has taught you to teach and to believe you who teach nickelatheism. I don't expect anyone to listen to me or to hear me. You see I'm not under the false perception that I have the power to do anything of myself. It's the words of Yahweh God draws people to him. It's not by the will of man but only God. Scriptural ignorant I challenge you and what way little man. So answer the question why would God create Lucifer who he mourned when he said how are thou fallen from heaven oh Lucifer. Why would he create him just to throw him into a lake of fire where he will be tormented day and night forever and ever and all humans that he kept screaming at it as well that have chosen not to follow him. Tormented day and night. Burning how is that a god of love. He foreknew. And as the scripture says did he not create some vassals Of Dishonor. If he did indeed then he created them to suffer for all eternity right? That's what you teach you think on that I have yet to have a mainstream Christian Pastor that can give me an answer. However I will say this the Messianic Brothers and a few other congregations would easily know the answer to this. I doubt you come close. Keep on teaching or false Doctrine. keep on pushing people away from the creator of Heaven and Earth. I think it's you who needs to read scripture stop reading your little books from Kenneth Copeland and that apostate Billy Graham.

The only reason I even took time to write anything is because I can see where your heart is based on your point of you that you’re stating. The answer is always going to be what does scripture actually say? You don’t come at things of god based on your own understanding. You can’t say to yourself why would a loving God do this? If scripture actually states it…..the only answer is to say… because he promises these attributes about himself and because he does or did whatever action, what can I take from this? God is never going to be wrong it’s always going to be use that is wrong and as you grow you will realize that. I’m telling you you and your problem is you base. It’s not an error in the Bible it’s an error and your understanding and you need to let God show you the only answer here is for you to pray and ask God to reveal himself to you. There are attributes about God that we will never understand until we meet him that’s why you have to lean on who he promises that he is. what you are stating is my own preconceived idea…. I’m telling you it is what is stated factually and literally written in the Bible…. The problem with this entire situation is that you don’t like what the Bible says….you are not willing to accept it. This has nothing to do with a personal point of view or opinion it’s what it actually states. I don’t see how you can argue that. But an Anti-Christ a wolf in sheep's clothing deceiving many As The Bible, God's word makes clear that there would be, especially in the end times, and even so back then. I listened to this DECIEVER for YEARS sadly. I even gave money to Grace TO You multiple times. Listened to him on Moody Radio too often. That is until he started preaching this heretical, blasphemous type messages sprinkled with truth here and there leading man or sheep, astray to devour them like the WOLF that he is. He said that God uses/allows/determines evil to put his justice, His wrath on display. WHAT?! The ONLY people who could actually believe that blasphemy be true are people who don't know God or at best do NOT know their Bibles at all. He also says that evil cannot be explained easily at the beginning of this lecture of lies. Yet it can be Explained easily. Evil is ALLOWED because evil is a contrast of good and without evil there is NO FREE WILL. Without free will, there would only be one choice. We would quite literally be slaves to God and God DOESN'T WANT HIS CREATION TO BE FORCED TO CHOOSE HIM as without evil He would be the ONLY choice.. instead He is currently USING satan as a NECESSARY yet TEMPORARY evil so man may CHOOSE. Do any of you want friends who are forced to be your friend's through no other choice or place or do you want friends who choose you when they could choose other people or other things? Rhetorical question obviously. The aforementioned is a very simplified answer for why God is temporarily letting evil exist. If there wasn't the tree of the knowledge of good and evil with satan in the garden of Eden, then Adam-and-Eve would have been technically ENSLAVED In the garden. No way out. BUT our amazing forgiving humble (although all powerful) God wanted to give us CHOICE allow us not to be slaves, ALLOW US to CHOOSE to choose GOOD over EVIL to ALLOW us to CHOOSE FORGIVENESS over JUDGMENT, HEAVENLY things over EARTHLY things GODLY things over SELFISH FLESHLY things. Does my answer/message above, Biblically sound response sound ANYTHING like what John MacArthur said for over an HOUR? No, no it does not. 2 TOTALLY different answers. I am sick. when he was talking about the different Armenian "false" beliefs. He was right except for ONE of those types of "Armenian" beliefs; which was and I quote: "Or He [is a God who] chose not to [prevent evil] for a greater good, HUMAN FREEDOM" end quote. That is EXACTLY WHAT THE TRUTH IS. Which is why he said it VERY quickly. Again, HUMAN FREEDOM IS EXACTLY WHY TEMPORARY EVIL IS ALLOWED. He is very slick with his words. Saying "God WILLS evil to exist" why would he choose the word "wills"? instead of permits, allows, or with SADNESS He LET'S evil exist. and to be CLEAR because this antichrist lies, EVIL COMES OUT FROM THE SINFUL *FREE WILL CHOICES* OF MANKIND!!! Evil doesn't come from God Himself in the sense that He is the one committing the sins. The Bible is clear God can't stand sin (evil) He weeps even, our FREE WILL SINFUL CHOICES breaks His heart. If He "willed" all this evil and sin, why would He come down out of Heaven to Earth in the form of man to take on the sins (evil) of the world, the ones who believe in Him and HIS SACRIFICE AND RESURRECTION as PAYMENT for OUR SINS THAT WE OURSELVES HAVE WILLED/CHOSEN TO COMMIT? Especially with such CLEAR undeniable falsehoods being so deceptively spoken here but as always the truth cuts through lies such as these with ease praise be to GOD YHWY our heavenly Father. I just hope if it be God's will, that this comment gets one person to turn from this man and to turn to their Bible and pray before it likely gets deleted. I always go to Romans 9:23 when thinking about why evil exists. It is to declare His glory in the mercy He shows towards those He's chosen to save. Therefore glory belongs to our God and Savoir Jesus for His sovereign choice of saving us.

I would add yes, but, MacArthur reading from the nas, is there in himself, proving, that evil exists - 49:18. Read only the KJV Holy Bible.

God is so loving, He assumed Human flesh, and paid the ultimate price for sinners to repent, receive Him, and be saved. You don't have to understand God, to accept, love, and obey, Him.

Yes. Thank you for this lesson. I am new to this ministry. I come here looking for strength in the word. Recent events of the past year have given me pause to reunite with my faith. A Loved family member has passed on while in the care of an evil person. So it is with broken heart, and bad thoughts of wishing the same evil to befall on all those who harmed my dad and myself in this painful event that I now speak of. Lord please forgive me for my revengeful thoughts on Narcissists and Psychopaths who killed my vulnerable dad, and caused ill will to me. This is so very hard for me to abandon, to give to you my burden of this, and continue on with the gifted life you gave me..... ... Thank you for this lesson. seek strength in the word by reading his word my brother because this man here is a silver tongued devil an anti christ who speak lies. Trust no man. He said that God uses/allows/determines evil to put his justice, His wrath on display. WHAT?! The ONLY people who could actually believe that blasphemy be true are people who don't know God or at best do NOT know their Bibles at all. He also says that evil cannot be explained easily at the beginning of this lecture of lies. Yet it can be Explained easily. Evil is ALLOWED because evil is a contrast of good and without evil there is NO FREE WILL. Without free will, there would only be one choice. We would quite literally be slaves to God and God DOESN'T WANT HIS CREATION TO BE FORCED TO CHOOSE HIM as without evil He would be the ONLY choice.. instead He is currently USING satan as a NECESSARY yet TEMPORARY evil so man may CHOOSE. Do any of you want friends who are forced to be your friend's through no other choice or place or do you want friends who choose you when they could choose other people or other things? @24:22 I did! I would have been struck down if I lived in the OT times. So scared of death and disappointed at the thought of God creating me just to die. I Questioned Him and was Furious! It would be more humane never to have created me in the first place. However, he has set the record straight. Your Bible is always better than a KZread video of men, true believer or not. Greetings! What a wonderful sermon on the Sovereignty! and Holiness! of God. Thank you for posting such an important topic .Truly such a blessing to listen to a Bible based answer on why evil exists? But what else would we expect from J Mc except the Truth from Jesus Christ!

My life changed after I heard John MacArthur, he is truly blessed.

I've never heard this before. I was always taught that there is evil because in order to be a truly loving God he gave us free will.

You are correct. MacArthur is a Calvinist, and is intellectually disingenuous. Much of his teaching is extremely dangerous, and people should call this antichristian.

@@jedimasterham2 I don't think a lot of his teachings are far off. I just disagree with him on Calvanism. I definitely believe we have free will. The Bible says choose this day who you shall serve. This wouldn't be possible with Calvanism.

I think MacArthur gets a lot of things right but I think he has too much faith in his own interpretation. He may be completely convinced himself but to say that what he calls Armenians as inventing a false God is to say he's infallible in his views. I find that disturbing. The first time I heard about what Calvinism believed concerning limited atonement it nearly devastated me. It scared the heck out of me because, if true, God is not who I think I understand Him to be. I cannot think of a way that it can be true and God be, above all else, a loving God. Limited atonement would mean that God deliberately chose to create people He intended to go to Hell. It can't be any other way. All of us were born with a sin nature and we all equally deserve death. God does not choose to save us because He sees something in us He finds worthy of saving because the Bible makes it clear that none of us have anything in us worth saving. It is something He offers because it is His nature to do so in spite of who and what we are. So, if it's limited, I think that would mean God just chose people at random to save because there doesn't seem to be any other basis for choosing. Nothing about any of us deserves salvation. I find that hard to equate to a loving God. Time and time again, the Bible tells us that God doesn't do favoritism. I do not think God created evil in the sense that it wouldn't exist if He did not create it in the manner He created all else. I don't think it was something that had to be created any more than darkness had to be created. Evil, as I understand it, is what is contrary to God's will or contradicts His holy nature. That's not something that needs to be created. It's just part of the definition. Nor do I believe that God is responsible for evil in any way I can think of, let alone how John describes it. God allows it. God uses evil done by others to accomplish His will and plan, but that doesn't make Him responsible for it. At least as far as I can see. The only reason I can see for Calvinists to believe that He is, is this strange idea that God can't be sovereign if He doesn't control every single aspect of existence. As I understand it, they seem to think that if the offer of salvation is for everyone, but some refuse, this somehow violates the sovereignty of God, but cannot a sovereign God choose to allow people to accept or not? Lastly, The Problem of Evil is a philosophical argument, not a religious one, which he seems to completely ignore. That's a bit disingenuous, in my opinion.

​@@CahliaShay I don't think it's unfair or wrong to call his brand of Calvinism a cult. It's not only completely unbiblical (they cherry pick verses but ignore context), but their views on "limited atonement" (that Jesus only died for the sins of some) and that God predestines people to heaven or hell undermines the whole point of Jesus atonement on the cross. There's no need for Jesus if God already predetermined where we go. It also directly implies that humans are robots, programmed to act, and completely devoid of freewill.

I've personally never heard a more blasphemous sermon in my life by the filthy Ritch antichrist that is John MacArthur. Trust no man. Especially do not trust this man, because HE IS NO MAN OF GOD. But an Anti-Christ a wolf in sheep's clothing deceiving many As The Bible, God's word makes clear that there would be, especially in the end times, and even so back then. I listened to this DECIEVER for YEARS sadly. I even gave money to Grace TO You multiple times. Listened to him on Moody Radio too often. That is until he started preaching this heretical, blasphemous type messages sprinkled with truth here and there leading man or sheep, astray to devour them like the WOLF that he is. He said that God uses/allows/determines evil to put his justice, His wrath on display. WHAT?! The ONLY people who could actually believe that blasphemy be true are people who don't know God or at best do NOT know their Bibles at all. He also says that evil cannot be explained easily at the beginning of this lecture of lies. Yet it can be Explained easily. Evil is ALLOWED because evil is a contrast of good and without evil there is NO FREE WILL. Without free will, there would only be one choice. We would quite literally be slaves to God and God DOESN'T WANT HIS CREATION TO BE FORCED TO CHOOSE HIM as without evil He would be the ONLY choice.. instead He is currently USING satan as a NECESSARY yet TEMPORARY evil so man may CHOOSE. Do any of you want friends who are forced to be your friend's through no other choice or place or do you want friends who choose you when they could choose other people or other things? Rhetorical question obviously. The aforementioned is a very simplified answer for why God is temporarily letting evil exist. If there wasn't the tree of the knowledge of good and evil with satan in the garden of Eden, then Adam-and-Eve would have been technically ENSLAVED In the garden. No way out. BUT our amazing forgiving humble (although all powerful) God wanted to give us CHOICE allow us not to be slaves, ALLOW US to CHOOSE to choose GOOD over EVIL to ALLOW us to CHOOSE FORGIVENESS over JUDGMENT, HEAVENLY things over EARTHLY things GODLY things over SELFISH FLESHLY things. Does my answer/message above, Biblically sound response sound ANYTHING like what John MacArthur said for over an HOUR? No, no it does not. 2 TOTALLY different answers. I am sick. when he was talking about the different Armenian "false" beliefs. He was right except for ONE of those types of "Armenian" beliefs; which was and I quote: "Or He [is a God who] chose not to [prevent evil] for a greater good, HUMAN FREEDOM" end quote. That is EXACTLY WHAT THE TRUTH IS. Which is why he said it VERY quickly. Again, HUMAN FREEDOM IS EXACTLY WHY TEMPORARY EVIL IS ALLOWED. He is very slick with his words. Saying "God WILLS evil to exist" why would he choose the word "wills"? instead of permits, allows, or with SADNESS He LET'S evil exist. and to be CLEAR because this antichrist lies, EVIL COMES OUT FROM THE SINFUL *FREE WILL CHOICES* OF MANKIND!!! Evil doesn't come from God Himself in the sense that He is the one committing the sins. The Bible is clear God can't stand sin (evil) He weeps even, our FREE WILL SINFUL CHOICES breaks His heart. If He "willed" all this evil and sin, why would He come down out of Heaven to Earth in the form of man to take on the sins (evil) of the world, the ones who believe in Him and HIS SACRIFICE AND RESURRECTION as PAYMENT for OUR SINS THAT WE OURSELVES HAVE WILLED/CHOSEN TO COMMIT? Praise God for His Amazing Grace. He makes the blind see the Word Spiritually. No greater Love than this.. No man has the wright to question God who created everything. Even the things we cannot see. Thats where Faith comes in which was given by God too... Praise the Lord for men like John McCurther who are Blessed to preach the Gospel.

The absolute best sermon I have ever heard bar none.

"To demonstrate his wrath, to demonstrate his glory" That makes me giddy, God is awesome. I mean, i really love that he's so powerful, so endlessly capable of anything, he just speaks us into existence, loves us and then demonstrates his power to us, its really amazing. Its scary, it really is but I really like gods style. Gotta be honest. I spend just about every minute of my day thinking about god lol

I played around and got burnt I used to think it was cool to dable around danger but one day I got a glimpse of the truth about what evil is and what it means and believe me it's better to be made fun of because you are in Christ because the evil one does not live you like Christ does his correction is a blessing

I love the KJV. Isaiah 45:5-9 5I am the LORD, and there is none else, there is no God beside me: I girded thee, though thou hast not known me: 6That they may know from the rising of the sun, and from the west, that there is none beside me. I am the LORD, and there is none else. 7I form the light, and create darkness: I make peace, and create evil: I the LORD do all these things. 8Drop down, ye heavens, from above, and let the skies pour down righteousness: let the earth open, and let them bring forth salvation, and let righteousness spring up together; I the LORD have created it.
